From around December 2000/January 2001 to Summer 2003. I remember getting a few first edition packs of Neo Genesis but grew out of it quickly as I got more into DBZ. A friend's older brother picked up a copy of Ruby and was showing me some of the new Pokemon, and it once again piqued my interest. I've been a fan ever since.

Is crystal the last true Pokémon game? It was the last release before NWO began after 9/11.

Gen 5 was when I really started to check out of Pokemon, though I enjoyed BW2. I saw the writing in the wall with BW’s endless cutscenes and feature cuts.
