Really? They put a bunch of Gen 5 variants in Hisui, even though Unova was supposed to be faraway from PokeJapan. Then they made Unova DLC with Future Swords of Justice in SV. Also Slither Wing and Iron Moth are kino. Of course, maybe people just don't care about these variants compared to a Mega upgrade.

Prior to SWSH, maybe, and Audino not being the ONLY gen 5 mega is nice (same with Diancie and gen 6), but since then that's just a fucking lie with the reverence on social media (including official accounts), the Galarian and Hisuian forms, not to mention the entirety of the Indigo fucking Disk.
