Something is clearly off with the hand. The wrist angle is unnatural, almost impossible, and the transition between the forearm and the hand doesn’t make anatomical sense. The fingers are twisted in a way that lacks clear structure, and the thumb looks visible but poorly anchored. Whether it’s AI-generated or drawn by a human doesn’t really matter: the result is objectively flawed. It looks fine at a glance, but once you focus on the hand, the inconsistency becomes obvious.
It wouldn't surprise me
>>58753279100% AI.
Pokemon employees would never use AI
>>58753337lol
>>58753279Yep. I assume the artist/prompter wanted her to walk while adjusting her hair but couldn't be bothered to properly draw or even fix it if it were AI. I mean I'm pretty sure there's official art of Serena already doing this exact pose already and could've just used that as a reference.
>>58753279The leftmost line you drew isn't a mistake. The lighter part is her pinky finger and it's raised higher than her ring finger underneath.
>>58753279Why the fuck did you draw a line that goes from the pinky through the shaded ring finger? Did you think they were one finger or something?
>>58753279I hope so, just for the drama
The whole framing of her is off as well. Like it was given a do-over a few times, got the most notable descrepancies eradicated per hand and then called it a day.
explain why AI bad
>>58753279Can you not see the artist's credits on TCGP cards? This seems to be one of the usual TCG artists.
>>58753337True, they would rather outright just steal art from Twitter or pixiv
>>58753279/thread
>>58753279Take your meds, schizo
>>58753420>Explain why AI is bad so I can dismiss it by saying you're stupid for being mad about itAI is a bunch of 1s and 0s at the end of the day - "if - then" systems, "yes or no" answers. It draws on what is already there, and rarely draws a connection betwixt what it's being asked to do and what it needs to do.Just taking art out of the equation for now, if you asked the AI to code a script for you that does a number of things, it will draw from its own memories of what it has collected and attempt to cobble together what you ask for, right down to the perceived buggy mess that code originally was on its own, to adding its own flavor of bugs because it lacks the thought capacity to comprehend what it's doing in the moment aside from what it's being asked. It's like asking it to develop a PC storage system for Pokemon, and it draws from a collective of material from Pokemon Black and White, and then for some inane reason, also draws from some out-there fan game for no intrinsic reason, and then when you tell it to do it again with no further changes to your prompt, it makes it from Red and Blue, but also from FireRed and LeafGreen. Sure you can refine your prompts, but by the time you get salvageable code, you have to spend even more time parsing through it and combing through the junk data with asinine descriptions (or lack thereof) than you would have had to with just copy-pasting relevant game code from a previous game.Art is marginally different, but draws on the same principle of it drawing from its own resources to output a result, with even the most basic of details getting lost on the literal noise. People tend to notice the small details moreso than the bigger, grander ones, so when AI messes up, it typically is with those finer details like fingers, eyes, teeth, mouth, nails, and other seemingly innocuous details it isn't programmed to considered. It's just smart enough to dazzle people with enough bullshit that people will fall for it.
"take your meds" yeah that's it and take your anger and learn to draw because its objectively bad
I don't care about the artist's name, he may have used AI himself, Pokémon steal and Pokémon are lazy, it's perfectly normal to doubt
"THUMB" Yeah, that's it, a THUMB that comes out of nowhereNah seriously look at the original image, it's cursed, it looks like a handicapSome people say it's his little finger, the illuminated part, but there's no outline, the other fingers are clearly defined. Damn even if that's the case it's still cursed, I need to stop watching this
Hands are notoriously awkward to draw even for some professional artists, if it's not a focus of the work then they'll avoid details on parts they don't need to do. If you zoom in an analyze hands/feet in random artwork from before the AI era, you probably won't struggle to find weird things like this.
>>58753460This. Some of you guys are unironically need to take your meds right NOW.
the pose is unatural but the anatomy is doable. If it's AI it's not the worst around. would make more sense if she was waving at you though.
>>58753608in need*Fuck you.
>>58753420Who will pay for my furry fetish art??
>>58753548yupAI is bad at hands because they're one of the most notoriously difficult and complex parts of the human body to draw and even flesh-and-blood humans struggle with themif you really look for it, so much human-made art has hands either conveniently out of frame or posed in a particularly easy to draw manner
>>58753784Thats true, draw open hands or visible fingers is a nightmare, its a miracle see how well illustrious, nai 4 or z image does it
>>58753337HONURABU SAMURAI CODE DESU NE
It doesn't look too bad. But it has that glossy sheen that you see with alot of AI and digital art, especially anime characters. Sadly my brain assumes that stuff like this is AI now...
>>58753279Yes, either TPC is not disclosing their AI use or the credited artist is not disclosing their AI use to TPC.Either way that's not something a deliberate artist would miss if they were drawing by hand.
>>58753279This is the artist of this card: https://x.com/morikuraenGo accuse them of using AI OP, see how it goes.
>>587534201. It usually just looks bad. It's, almost by definition, generic. You can't make anything unique with it. It's literally soulless. It's also far more prone to errors, of course.2. If large companies are using it for things like replacing artists, then they are doing it purely out of greed. They could easily pay an artist, but they "save money" by using AI to maximise their profit for no reason other than wanting to make even more money when the CEOs are already filthy rich. You shouldn't support this.
>>58753279The only thing wrong is how bent the wrist is, which is a reasonable mistake for an artist to make.
>>58753933Timelapses posted by the artist themselves.https://xcancel.com/morikuraen/status/1988956753846001994https://xcancel.com/morikuraen/status/1987896156920381918Determine for yourselves whether the card drawn aligns with their other illustrations.
>>58753905>>58753933It's sad that AI has led to paranoia and witch hunts about the legitimacy of artists work...
>>58753998especially when it's by people who don't know the first thing about art and just assume anything with bad hands is AI because they read on twitter that AI can't do hands well.
I hope they won't replace it, it's my favorite card sleeve so far.
>>58753279AI can do hands without issue, and have been able to for a long time now. Artists and TPCI can afford to pay extra for those models, unlike you who probably gens with fucking NovelAI or something.
>>58754103where's the other half of the glassesit has the part that goes over the left ear but the other one is missing
>>58754118I think they drew the hat and the lens first, then realized it wouldn't make sense unless they omitted it or redrew it all.
I dont care i boughted it anyway :)
>>58754153Same, I'll buy it this weekend
>>58754165Based serenachad
>>58754103The nose looks like a baggy eyes lol
No fucking way. On my third pack.
brehs... i cant read i thought this was THE thread>>58754185>>58754202but based anyways
>>58754352>>58754355This one honestly looks even more like AI.
>>58753279I'm so fucking tired of armchair activists.
I generate tons of this shit, this is ai, even details are typical to it
>>58754597Ragebait
1. mix of detailed artstyle and anime2. lightning and shadows make no sense3. anatomy is brokenhe generated Serena and changed face and added mega ring
>>58754610Let's ask chat gpt if its ai just to be sure
Chat gpt said it passed as not ai generated do to it being really good.
>>58754623clankers are always covering for other clankers
>>58754633Nah. I ask it all the time if things are ai generated and it can tell pretty accurately. This was something it said was ai for example
>>58754642interesting coffee table
>>58753279You are a fucking dumbass
>>58754349that's nothing new
>>58754103Her tits are so big
>>58755350Is this pic ai generated? The shadows dont make any sense. And her watch looks blurry and messed up looking.
>>58753279Immersive Eevee EX is also probably AI. The plants look weird as hell.
>>58753982Used an AI timelapse tool. Sad
Is this card AI? The door and text above it look weird.
>>58755518Probably ai. Wouldn't be the first card that's ai generated
So which is better or worse? 3D planeta models or AI art?
>>587556183d
He offered it to me. Did I get gypped?
>>58755690
>>58755694Rainbow entei is meta again with mega Charizard so a little? However the water support likely has a longer lifespan of use. So I think it evens out. Do you have another rainbow rare entei or something?
>>58755724mega zard is far from meta, everyone said it was overhyped and they were right
>>58755752Do you just not like playing fire decks then? That entei is good for blaziken. And it will likely be good for charizard x. Guess im just thinking that the trade only is good if you like water.
>>58755724>>58755781That’s what I was thinking - that Entei might one day become meta. But it’s ok I still have the Planeta one. And a premium one. So I think I’m ok with losing it. But for now, I highly doubt that the zard Y deck will work well. Yes, it did suck ass with Blaziken and the Heatmor version was legit S tier imo.My display board with the rainbow/immersive dogs is cucked now though.
>>58753420ecological disasters and finances for water and electricity will skyrocket
>>58755781entei is terrible for blaziken, it lasted like four days before it got dumped for heatmor. the card is genuinely absolute garbage.
>>58753279That doesn't look like AI.
>>58753420>bait or retard. call it.
>>58753337How else are they gonna design the new mega evolutions?
>tcg is aiat that point just print your own cards
>>58753279>Something is clearly off with the hand.people who say shit like this really dont know how shit a lot of professional art can be in areas lol artists arent perfect
>>58755618Both can be good.
>>58753279... That hand makes sense. I think you're looking at it wrong.
>>58753484This explains why a given AI generated image may have a lower quality (in the current state of AI generation, which is making huge improvements all the time) and the difficulties of using it as a tool to make consistent results, but it doesn't explain why a good looking image is bad if made by AI. If this image was exactly the same except the wrist looked completely normal, and it was made by an AI, would it still be bad?
>>58756823Not that anon, but that'd depend on someone's personal opinion about how the tech was trained.
