Blast, I do get the "more dakka" redesign) and all the rest that do actually build off the base. And I know mega chimecho isn't more popular than even the least-liked starter, but it's the OTHER exemplar for megas (shitmon gets a power boost) and it builds off its base to become a giant wind chime arrangement. The mythicals the same story, Darkrai, Zeraora and Magearna getting mega forms that take what their OG design was going for and turning it the fuck up (eldritch monster becoming a true eldritch horror, super saiyan hero going super saiyan 2, robot maid becoming a robot protector)
