How strong is your balltism /vp?

I usually am not that affected and usually just catch things in whatever, though I’m tempted to start catching my Pokemon in nothing but Master Balls just to troll people (and purple is my favorite color). Master Balls are too easy to get these days and in older games now that I know a bit about RNG manipulation.

I throw Ultra/Timer/Dusk Balls at everything once I can hoard them. Color coding with something I’ll barely see seems like a waste of time for me.
>>
Don't care at all about balltism

Premier Balls or bust

I'm a Poke Ball Purist. Everything gets the red ball. No exceptions.
>>
Regular Poke Balls and Quick Balls for all the slop pokemon just to fill the pokedex, Luxury Balls for pokemon that I really like + Mythicals, Ultra Balls for legendaries, Master Ball for Mewtwo only, Premier Balls for event pokemon and shinies. Don't care about color coding.

>>58757359
Thematic coding and then color coding if there is no theme, but I'll throw anything at mons I know I'll never use.

Severe. I was one of those people catching shit in Apricon balls in Hg/Ss to move up to X mass breed and trade. I'd breed shinies in shiny matching balls.

Masterball is exclusively for purple Pokémon who's name starts with M so just Mewtwo, Mismagius, and Miradon.

I can be really autistic in other ways in Pokemon games, but I've never experienced balltism really. I guess the closest I come to that is just not really using Master Balls except if I've run out of other balls, because it feels like a bitch move to throw one too early if there are still other options. But it doesn't have anything to do with the color/design of the balls.

>Balls
In my day, a good rock was all you needed to lock up those demons; young people these days only think about fucking those long-eared, hot-clogged, and pale succubi.
>>
i always wanted a master ball mew and genesect but i used my master ball in emerald before i learned about pomeg glitch warping to faraway island for mew and i don't want to play za for genesect
>>
Everything no matter what gets a red pokeball, except my ribbon master is in a premier ball.
>>
Nonexistent. I only care if there are particle effects.
>>
I don't really care but I like to have a balanced mix of different kinds of pokeballs.

If I go to a pokemon center and see 4 hyperballs and two pokeballs. that annoys me.
>>
I just like to color code my in-game team. Something white should go in a premier ball for example. That's why I almost always pick the fire starter.

Always a bit annoyed when most of my teams are in regular balls. My ZA team is 5 normal balls and 1 great ball
>>
I am mad there has barely been any new balls after Gen 4 and I've turned to save editing to give Pokémon such as my starter their rightful balls.
How Game Freak treats the icon of the series is appalling.

THING

>>58757359
i like playing essentials fangames because they let me use the debug menu to change a mon's pokeball to whatever i want
even ones with really low catchrate for that species or very scarce availability
>>
>>58757359
I mostly ignore it unless there's a color combo to perfect to ignore. A shiny Hydreigon gets the dusk ball no matter what and a normal Torterra gets the nest ball. Mewtwo is master or bust. Some pokemon don't really have a clear color pairing option like Bax or Ceruledge, so those get regular red pokeballs.
>>
>>58757359
For my living dex I usually catch things in a normal ball when possible, along with most of the pokemon I plan to actually have on my team. In US/UM I made a beast ball living dex simply because it was the only game where they were easily available. I also tried to collect as many as possible using the dream ball during gen 5 simply because it was the only way to get their hidden abilities at the time plus it looks nice in general
Aside from that I'll often just use ones that I think look good, either in terms of color scheme and visual effect or thematically, like how the beast ball's futuristic look goes well with the robot paradox mons imo.

Pretty dire. It once took me weeks in Ruby to catch Regice in a Dive Ball.

Rare story pokemon in a game or mythical?
PUT THAT MON IN A LUXURY BALL!!!

Safari Ball whenever possible.
>>
Pretty strict balltism for my actual team, but I play looser with the random mons I catch for the regional living dex. Also, if a game has apricorn balls available, I will prioritize using them over other balls because of their rarity.
>>
>color coding
If you’re only a color coding balltist, I encourage you to be more creative.

either all premier balls or all regular poke balls. depends on how im feeling that particular day

I'm currently replaying SV so I can catch a Miraidon in a Beast Ball. I duped several of them (and all other Apriballs) when the game first came out and have been hoarding them for just this. I have several future paradox shinies in Beast Balls for the Aesthetic but also other cool Pokemon like my shiny Rotom and Metagross, this of course involved plenty of resetting thanks to catch rates.
I match Pokemon and balls on theme and color and will shiny hunt Pokemon I don't even like just to have them in a matching ball. The new particle effects have also affected my balltism though thankfully not too much since they match out of the gate. I'm not always sure which ball will match which Pokemon either so for certain mons like starters I actually have collections of them in most if not all Pokeballs just to level them up and see for myself if something like Greninja looks better in a Dive, Lure or Net Ball.

On a side note I wish the "i only catch stuff in pokeball xD im sooo quirky" people would fuck off from balltism threads, it's like asking someone if they cook and they tell you they know how to make ramen or something. You don't know balltism till you go out of your way to get a shiny Petilil in SV, ask your friend to transfer it to PLA to evolve it and get it back just so you can have a shiny H-Lilligant in a much more appropriate Friend Ball.
>>
Sometimes I stop and think about how much time I've saved myself by not having balltism, and just using the good ones
>>

If it doesn't get into the ball after 30 tries, I give up.

The only "balltism" I've ever practiced was the one time I caught a bunch of Gothorita's in nest balls

Aside from the new arrivals in Z-A and all the Vivillon forms (because that's fucking obnoxious), I've caught every Pokemon possible in Beast Ball for my Living Dex. This includes every Legendary, Mythical, alternate form (though some were ignored for various reasons), regional form, gender difference and even the occasional internal form such as Own Tempo Rockruff

Outside of that, I don't really care too much about it. I usually use normal Pokeballs on all my playthrough team and then default to Ultra Ball once I can afford it

Based. Good luck, anon. Be sure to get a good False Swiper/Sleep Setter and be patient and you'll get it in no time
>I duped several of them (and all other Apriballs) when the game first came out and have been hoarding them for just this.
How have you not beaten the game by now? The DLC lets you get Beast Balls basically for free once you've set everything up
