i just want all of them on one cartridge again.is hoping for an EVERYONE IS HERE moment a pipe dream or is there hope?
gamefreak realized they make more money than ever with less effort than ever. it's never fucking happening, no one with integrity is in positions of power at the company
>>58760082that's depressing as fuck
>>58760076Certainly, that'll be 35.99, or 14.99 with a Nintendo online membership for the Kanto DLC to connect your Pokémon home to your newest game!Don't worry though, you don't need the DLC to own these older Pokémon, you can trade with other players to reacquire them!
Silly anon, you're already getting that with Pokémon Home/Champions. All of your favorites in one place. Make sure to pay the extra $20 for storage though :D
>>58760076I used to be like you until I saw the gen 6 and 9 dex. Now I’m glad that the vast majority of those mons will from now on be cut from all future Pokemon game outside of legends fillers nobody care about.
>>58760164If only it actually WORKED that way, huh?
>>58760076Same. I stopped playing after SwSh because of the Dexit bullshit.
>>58760076I genuinely don't understand people like you and I'm a huge pokefag.Hell I don't even complete the pokedex most of the time, only time I did it was in Scarlet and Violet (three times). I don't give a shit about 80% of pokemon.
>>58760343>I genuinely don't understand people like you>I don't even complete the pokedex most of the timeYou're rebuking your own point. You play casually. >I don't give a shit about 80% of pokemonWhat if 100% of your favourites occupy that 20%? Unless your favourites are Gyarados and Pikachu, you're almost guaranteed to be locked out from using some bros. Or most of them. I've made peace with dexit, but I'm not going to pretend like it doesn't matter. If your favourite is missing for two gens in a row, then it matters a lot.
>>58760355That gives you a reason to care about the ones you don't normally use. Just adapt. You're a whiny faggot.
>>58760359Nta but how about in the next mainline game they take away EVs, IVs, natures, type matchups and all aspects of competitive battling so that you're forced into only super casual battling by pressing a button to win? If you don't like that then you just gotta adapt bro! ;)
>>58760359>That gives you a reason to care about the ones you don't normally useAlready do that. Turns out you can chew gum and walk at the same time. I don't need to be forced to use new mons, and having new favourites doesn't make the old ones obsolete. You know this already, we all know that this. It worked for 20+ years and it was a good thing. Even when we got 150 new mons in BW, they still included the other 493 for the post game.
>>58760076Get Champions.
>>58760365>what if I imagine an entirely different scenario in my head? How about that? Don't you feel stupid now?
>>58760397You said what if MY favourites, not yours, retard.
>>58760411It's not an entirely different scenario. I'm trying to explain it in a way that non-collectionfags like yourself could understand in the hopes that you could see why we bitch and complain about Dexit since it took away one of the main ways we collectionfags play the game. Seems that I was too optimistic in thinking it would work on you
>>58760425One is a a gameplay matter, the other is not a gameplay matter. Completely different things.>but catching pokemon i sgameplay! That's not the issue here, it's the number of pokemon, or rather your personal feeling of "completeness".
>>58760431Gameplay isn't just battles and encounters and balance. The unique appeal of roleplaying games is emergent storytelling, it's the story you tell with the character and party you create. A big reason why Pokemon is successful and makes boatloads of money is because people create these emotional connections through emergent storytelling. Exploring is gameplay. The act of discovery and wonder is gameplay. It's not just type matchups and base stats. The game literally spells this out in the opening sequence. "For some people, Pokemon are pets. Others use them for fights.". Gen 2 introduced baby Pokemon that were designed to be useless in battle, and specifically made to appeal to girls. They were designed to be like pets or dolls. That emotional attachment was a feature, not a bug. For some players, breeding for cute shiny pokemon is the gameplay. There's a whole cottage industry of people who just hunt shiny Pokemon. Limiting the available Pokemon impacts that gameplay. They were never just interchangeable pieces for playing battle chess.Don't buy the lie from GF that dex cuts are important for balance. Don't act like region-specific ecology is more important to players than having access to all their favourites. It's an obvious excuse. It was always an excuse, it was always about cutting corners and reducing their workload.
>>58760468I shiny hunt lol. I don't know why you got the idea that I'm a casual.I have shiny legendaries from Platinum and Heart Gold-Soul Silver and Japanese Emerald.I agree with you on gameplay but dexit is not gameplay. Would I prefer to have all pokemon in a game? Sure. Is it a big deal? No.You know what is a big deal? Buildings with jpegs and fake balconies. Woke propaganda.Dexit is the last of pokemon's problems.
>>58760500Dexit is a gameplay issue if you play Pokemon like a pet sim. It's no different than Nintendogs omitting your favourite breed. If you just want to raise and play with a Chihuahua, and it's not in the game, then it drastically impacts gameplay.>You know what is a big deal? Buildings with jpegs and fake balconiesYou sound like those losers who couldn't enjoy BW because it used sprites >Woke propagandaoh this is just one big bit, gotcha
>>58760076pipe dream; unfortunately. Pokémon aren't designed for the philosophy of them all being in a game anymore. It's not the company's philosophy
>>58760500Dexit, jpeg buildings with fake balconies, woke propaganda, etc. are all the cumulative result of GF's sheer laziness. If they're willing to cut out Pokémon and gaslight us into thinking that it's a good thing, what's stopping them from cutting more corners? You've already seen it happen with the issues you've listed and I've already brought up an example of how else they can further cut corners by removing aspects of competitive battling. By accepting dexit and thinking that it's no big deal, you're also accepting the use of jpeg buildings, etc. because you're telling GF that it's ok to cut corners like that.
>>58760521>If they're willing to cut out Pokémon and gaslight us into thinking that it's a good thing, what's stopping them from cutting more corners? When they came for the secret bases, I said nothing, When they killed contests, I stood aside. When they came for rotation battles it was too late.
>>58760508>You sound like those losers who couldn't enjoy BW because it used spritesYou think I'd hunt pokemon in gen 4 and 3 if I didn't like sprites? It's my favourite gens. There was artistry behind it. Now the games look like dogshit and they still don't have voices. It's embarrassing.I'm not a graphics nerd, I don't need realistic graphics and something extreme, I just want the same level of artistry the old games had.>>58760521Maybe you're right, this is a more convincing argument. As I said, I too would prefer if all pokemon were in the games, it just isn't a big issue for me.>>58760525But you see, I hated the fucking minigames and I hated how you were forced to partake in them if you wanted certain pokemon or items and such.I just care about the basic gameplay loop. Catching, battling and narrative. I don't give a shit about your stupid poke athletes, contests, battle tower, game corner or whatever.
