>>58760995Just gonna wait for the Zygarde set on Jan 23 and hope they release a S/AR of the dog forme.
>>58760192>KMC perfect fit and Ultrapro 32749.Interesting that you went for a deck sleeve, maybe I'll give it a try. Have you ever experienced trapped air or anything like that?
>>58760995Japanese products are intended for the Japanese market where this level of scumbaggery is very rare, dirty foreign pigs buying JP products isn't their concern
>>58761050>Interesting that you went for a deck sleeveIt's because back in 2020, seeing the hype around pokemons, I wanted to properly organize and complete the series from my childhood (I had them all in a single binder in pokedex order at the time) and the only sleeves I had on hand were those from magic. If I were to start over I would want to try some clear sleeve even for the outer and those fancy 4 sided dragon shield inners that I saw at a store.>Have you ever experienced trapped air or anything like that?Yes, after double sleeving a bunch of cards I usually put them in a deck box to decompress for a few hours. if they are just a few I massage them a bit. I noticed from a 160 binder that I had loaded without waiting that once I removed the cards the sideloading pockets in the binder became a bit loose, most likely from the excess air trapped. To be fair I think doublesleeving cards in a binder is already overkill, nowadays I doubt there is anyone making pages or sleeves in pvc or with acids so even a single penny sleeve (properly fitting tho as sometimes they are too tight) in a sideloading page should be good to go. Unlike the holos from my team rocket set that were ALL glued and destroyed by cheap early 2000s binder pages.
>>58760995that's nothing new, metal detecting even works on english sets. I use a minelab metal detector to detect hits in loose packs, it can't tell whether it's an EX card or a illustration rare but it makes it easier finding hits. I'm surprised more people don't do this because it's insane just how horrible pull rates are when 95% of packs contain nothing but worthless bulk.
>>58761177>metal detecting even works on english setsnot with moderns that have guaranteed reverse holos
>>58761184Reverse holos make it easier, you detect through the art so it avoids reverse holos, you're basically detecting "two holos"
>still buying physical
they need to release a set with gen 7 cards. I'm doing a dex binder and I dont have shit from gen 7
>>58761286they did that during gen 7, should've been there, fag
Post your favorite pokemon and your favorite card they have
>>58761406I can't even chose my favorite pokemon
>>58761406Fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.
>>58761406I love old EX holos so it was an easy choice
>>58761122I appreciate your insight, I think you've talked me out of double sleeving. I'm planning to redo my modern collection in new binders after Christmas and I've been autistic about my choice of sleeves, never comfortable with my decision. Pic related in tightness order>Ultra Pro Penny>Vault X 66mm x 92mm>KMC Perfect FitPreviously I mostly used KMC Perfect fits but they leave so much space around the cards in the slots I find they move around sometimes and I'm trying to avoid that, the Ultra Pro Penny Sleeve is a bit too tight for Vault X Binders (top) but fits perfectly in my preferred binders (bottom), the more general 66mm x 92mm penny sleeves you get from a lot of brands are in the middle. I'm thinking that the width of the Lillie Sleeves with the height of the Misty sleeves might be optimal for my new binders which should be 66mm x 94mm, from a search it seems the Ultra Pro "Premium" Penny Sleeves might be those dimensions and I think I have a couple laying around somewhere
Check your local facebook, offerup, people are just flat out broke lately and are getting rid of their entire collections now. Got this all for only $400.
>>58761790Nta, but I double sleeve as well. I had a binder with mostly single sleeved cards and i was caught in the rain a few years ago, the binder barely got wet, I checked the cards and most of those near the edge had water damage. The only ones who were spared were the few I had double sleeved.
>>58761890Mind if I ask what kind of binder you had? Sideloading vs Toploading?
>still buying modern
>>58761859Those look beat to hell though.
>>58761893Sideloading with a zip
>>58761406Posting my other favorite artwork of my bro, this time ftom the binder Still debating whether i want to double sleeve this one
>>58755133literally priceless
>>58761406
>>58762280is that yours? Wow man, you’ve probably got the best collection here.
>>58762230>as many layers of plastic as possible between the card and your eyedouble sleeving is lame
>>58762538still not as bad as toploaders or slabs
>>58762152I thought for a second>why are people talking about android here?then I saw what you replied to
>>58762538I just don't want to lose cards to water ever again.
>>58762538And as long as you don't use penny sleeves you're ok, 3 layers of plastic from good brands unironically look clearer than a single layer from a penny sleeve
>>58762230Cradily as your favorite is very based
>>58762634Is that true? Interesting, I’ve never experimented with that
>>58762634Examples? What's a "good brand" in your mind?
>>58762658Katanas
>>58761122Sick cards
>>58762663Katanas are great for playing but deck sleeves don't make good binder/storage sleeves
>>58762680>deck sleeves don't make good binder/storage sleevesSays who? They keep cards flatter than penny sleeves, protect them better, don't risk giving your card binder bulge or to make them move around scratching the holo etc. Look at what most people with ungraded magic gems and lotuses use.
>>58762696> or to make them move around scratching the holo etcI have decks sleeved right beside me in Katanas and others in Dragon Shield Mattes, the card can move around in both from even light taps, they're worse than perfect fits in that aspect. They're also harder to get in/out of than perfect fits so you're more likely to scuff an edge sleeving in the first place and obviously both are worse than penny sleeves. But "premium" penny sleeve options tend to be a good balance, I also wouldn't say Katanas or Dragon Shields are any clearer than reputable brand penny sleeves but if you have any clarity comparisons I'd love to see and be proven wrong, nothing wrong with upgrading to a better option
Pickups from different cardshow today.
>>58762731>the card can move around in both from even light taps,Not in my case since I double sleeve them, but even with a single sleeve (just tried) they are not moving. What's premium penny sleeves? I use vaultx for cards that go into a toploader and they are visibly more opaque than kmc or katanas
modern sloppa!
>>58762766suicune promo is sweet thoughbeit
what are some good zards to buypic not related, digital only
>still grading cards
>>58762755Ultra Pro do penny sleeves and then "Premium Penny" sleeves which are not quite as large and thin, I would consider anything that isn't the cheapest and kind of on par with those Premium. Vault X would be a "Premium Penny". And if you're double sleeving then fair enough deck sleeves are fine for an outer. I just tried a fresh Katana sleeve, put a non-textured card in, pushed it to the bottom, tapped it on my mousemat a couple of times gentle upside down and the top of the card was at entrance not at the bottom of the sleeve
>>58762744Why the german cards? Some nice pickups
>>58762793no one’s even posting or discussing graded cards, stupid ritual posting schizo
>>58762801I just thought having a different language than english or japanese in my collection would be neat.
>>58762824What the fuck are those horrific pikmen things?
>>58762824Those are pretty cool, do they shift when you move them? I forgot what the effect is called.
>>58762855kobito zukan - japanese elves/gnomes
>>58762868lenticular
>>58762855>>58762824Looked this up. Its some 20 year old franchise I never heard of. This must be what my mom thought about pokemon collector values. She couldn't believe people care about stupid pokemon creatures that much. I guess this is how it feels
>>58762868yup they’re lenticular.
>>58762879lol
>>58762824That Misty card is really nice, might have to pick it up>>58762796Since I had all three sleeves you mentioned I decided to try it out. I can't really notice anything on the Milcery's but having the Kirlia doubled sleeved (KMC + Katana) vs Vault X penny in a binder I would give the edge solely on clarity to the penny sleeve
>>58762915the english one is way cheaper than the jp, it think that one’s a deck exclusive. Nice kirlia swirl.
Good time to buy? Don't see it going below $10
>>58762987man that's brutal. I've opened 500 PF packs already and only pulled meowth 3 times yet it's almost worthless now. this set is just all zard or bust.
>>58763116If you’ve opened 500 of anything, you’ve got more money than sense
>>58763116That's how it should be
>>58763121you would say the same thing if I just bought 500 worth of singles or anything pokemon card related. so shut your fucking mouth pussy.
>>58763121what if I opened 500 trick or trade packs?
What's the error?
>>58763394You can tell the texture is slightly shifted if you look at the card name, but that's not really an error
