Just beat it. Easily the best Pokémon game ever made. The best the Switch era has to offer.
>>58770815Fucking Tunie cuntAnyway try out the DLC and see if you can hold the same thought
>>58770817That is the dlc
>>58770815I like Arceus better but ZA is my second favorite of the Switch era. Legends is simply way more focused than the main games where it often feels like they have no clue what to focus on.>>58770817OP posted the scene at the end of sidequest 200 in the DLC.
>people praise zait's really over for this brand
>>58770823Z-A over Arceus simply because I prefer the battle system, and the plentiful amount there are. The boss battles were also a lot more impressive. I’d still put Arceus over SV. >>58770817The dlc is what actually secured this thought. I think VS Primal Groudon is the best boss battle Pokemon has done, both visually and gameplay wise.
>>58770830at least za didn’t shit on the story it built up for a year
>>58770835oh damn are the Primals actually in this, I thought this was about hoopa
>>58770835That I can agree with, the bosses are a massive improvement both in number and quality.>>58770842You get to fight against Hoopa Unbound but it's a regular battle. The Hoenn trio plus a bunch of other Pokémon get proper Rogue Mega boss battles.
The battle system from za in arceus would be one of my fav games of all timeIt's a shame that every single other aspect of za is complete dogshit
>>58770815Also your first Pokémon game on switch, presumably. You’ve got some real treats in store when you go back through the franchise and play some of the older games.
>>58770856I’ve played every generation of games. Z-A is the best Pokémon experience I’ve had. Really makes you feel like you’re in your own Pokémon anime.
>>58770835This looks good but since it’s not turn based I’m simply not interested. GameFreak need to pull this off in the main series.
>>58770815If the game is so good, why can't you kill that debtridden bimbo Taunie? Checkmate.
>>58770815>best game I have playedI feel bad for you.I've played even better games. Tons of them.
>>58770868How much do they pay you for shilling the laziest and most boring Pokemon game to date?I stopped paying for Pokemon games after SwordShield. They're worth 20 bucks maybe, definitely not 80
>>58770815This is the first time where you will get nothing for completing the Pokdex. NOTHING
>>58770838What story?
>>58770835Although the battles with Hoenn trio are kino, I would still consider the battle with Arceus the best in the Switch era.
>>58770933If you can’t afford the game then just say that
>>58770830>Still hereAnd you simply have nothing better to do. Let me guess, the last good game came out more than 10 years ago?
>>58770937Don’t be obtuse, completing your Pokédex isn’t asked of you, instead the research tasks. You get 50 rewards from the research task.
>>58770917He clearly said Pokémon game not game in general you retard
>>58770937Because that shit means nothing anymore. Also why would you want to do that with how random donut portals are?
>>58770937Because you get stuff from research tasks, what Mable actually tells you to focus on, and she gives more than you’ve ever gotten for clearing the dex in previous games.
>>58770815It’s got the best friend group of any Pokémon game by a long stretch. It took all the complaints about SV’s group and improved in every way. Taunie is a better Nemona than Nemona
I don't know. I finished the main story and couldn't bother launching the game again afterwards.Battling is super shallow. There is not much of a point running around in trainer battles because most attacks are close to impossible to dodge. No abilities drastically limit team building, it's hard to have any sort of synergy between the Pokémon on your team. The most meta way of fighting seem to just be standing in place, spamming stab moves with maybe a move to heal yourself or to boost your attack on the side. Moves that inflict status in general seem like wastes of a slot. Credit where credit is due, it's nice that this game has held items at least unlike Arceus. I do wish that you could give your Pokémon orders from a distance though instead of them following you around all the time which feels super awkward at times. Just simple stuff like telling them to run away, run towards the other Pokémon or attempt to dodge to the left/right. Lumiose itself is just too small, almost claustrophobic and yet despite being so small it also feels super empty. You got restaurants all over the place but their only function is serving as locations for a few battle quests. Very few buildings you can visit, even some that seem important are not accessible. You also have ice cream stands all over the place but they do fuck all? We've had 2 mainlines game in a row where making and eating food was a main mechanic, would it really have been too much effort to let the player buy and eat food to make x type of Pokémon spawn more like in paldea? I just also wish there were simply more interesting set pieces around the place. They should have at least added a couple big parks around the city to mirror irl Paris' Bois de Boulogne/Vincennes, so we don't have to be surrounded by copypasted buildings all the time.
>>58771033The lack of some sort of catacombs-like area is a real shame too. I wish the sewers were actually a decently sized sub-area, but you pretty much visit 90% of that place in the one story quest that requires you go through them. The parkours just suck, no beating around the bush. Your only movement techs are rolling off platforms and hovering with your phone, so they're all piss easy and feel more like chores than actual engaging challenges while looking super ugly and out of place. It's also downright criminal that you don't even get rollerskates in this game when I could ride a fucking legendary in the last one. Moving is slow and not fun, so despite the map being incredibly small I still found myself just teleporting to places all the time. Graphics are very mediocre, but it's a given at this point and not something I deeply care about anyways. Story is serviceable I guess. I think the characters are pretty well done however, they're all well designed and I only wish they were in a better game. The megas themself are also good outside of a couple stinkers that I probably don't even need to name. I haven't tested the dlc but I really don't feel like buying it when the main game has been this disappointing, and I have a lot of other stuff to play anyways. Overall I'd say this is like a 5/10, the lack of budget shows though it's not as low effort as the dp remakes.
>>58770815I had fun. Just finished the main plot last night and going for post-game and DLC next. The story and characters were nice, even though I never played XYZ. I was nervous about it being city-only and I think the buildings are samey enough that the setting does get a little boring, but there's enough to do that it wasn't a huge detriment. Lots of cute grils, and I really felt the team MZ dynamic. Overall, a huge step up from PLA in both polish and coherence.
>>58770817You’re so retarded
>>58770815I go back and forth between this and PLA being my favorite mainline Switch game.
>>58771033>We've had 2 mainlines game in a row where making and eating food was a main mechanic, would it really have been too much effort to let the player buy and eat food to make x type of Pokémon spawn more like in paldea? Are you retarded?
>>58771063It’s this and Let’s Go for me
>>58771099Are you? I wrote that I didn't play the dlc. As far as I'm aware the donuts only come into play for that roguelike postgame they have going on, and I shouldn't have to buy a dlc for something this basic anyways. They could easily have the donuts for the hoopa shit and normal food for overworld shit
>>58770815>Easily the best Pokémon game ever made. The best the Switch era has to offerOP here. Sorry guys, I uploaded the wrong picture
>>58771101Never played LGPE and I have no intention of changing that
>>58770815Ahem.Taunie sex.
>>58770815This is the first time I feel truly alienated from PokémonYeah sure Let's go PeE and the dogshit DP remake happened, but I disregarded those as nostalgiabait, so in a way or another I could justify people buying those gamesBut this, I just don't get it, what's fun about what if you played a pokémon game with the same amount of cutscenes as SM, but the story was dogshit, the combat system broken and you were stuck in a single area for the entire game. And you had to pay $100 in total for a postgame that should have been in the game to begin with
>>58772122>This is the first time I feel truly alienated from Pokémon>Yeah sure Let's go PeE and the dogshit DP remake happenedSo, Wind or Waves?
>>58770956>>58770966>>58770971Why would they make Hyperspace Pokedex completion RNG driven? Isn't "catch 'em all" the whole point of playing Pokemon games?
>>58770815>Easily the best Pokémon game ever made. But enough about Explorers of Sky.>The best the Switch era has to offer. But enough about New Snap.
>>58770815If it wasn’t stuck entirely in one city It would be the best pokemon game.
>>58773368>both of which feature meganium on the boxartKNEEL
>>58771033I think the statuses are really underrated. Poison is slow but effective.Burn neuters Attack stat like in the main games, and helps if your taking on an alpha or something above your level. Paralysis is probably the weakest. Drowzy is the best for capturing pokemon, not that its really needed thanks to the catch window but if you don't want to roll the dice on a rarer pokemon sleep is good. Freeze is exactly as good as it is in the main games.
