>>58773296That advice is kinda completely wrong. Dragonair, has awful stats, and the only dragon type move you'd learn in gen 2 before claire is twister. All of Claire's pokemon know dragonbreath. Teaching Rydon strength would probably be more effective. Sure, Dragonite is a lot more exciting then Rydon, but thats 15+ levels away.
For a low price of going south, finding a fishing spot, fishing for a 10% encounter rate with a good rod (super rod is in kanto so no insta-dragonairs either), grinding 20 levels a mon with the second highest exp requirement for level 30 and performing a trade (assuming you got that 50/50 female) you get to brag about having a rhydon 13 levels before it should be legally allowed to exist.Or you could just beat Clair and reach the victory road to catch a rhyhorn in the time it will take you to do all that, your choice.
