I didn't grow up with Kanto and I don't know if I would really call it my favorite but I do quite like it. It feels very rural and quaint, core Pokémon.

Did a FireRed playthrough on emulator.
It's bullshit Arcanine doesn't learn Earthquake, but Pidgeot is my beginning to end king.
The difference between this run and my time on the original GBA is night/day. They did that mon a solid. If I was Ash, I would have my bird mon flying around with me or perched on my shoulder. I'd have to have a hanky or towel to clean his birdie turdies though.

Masuda and company made this game for the money first. There is no soul here, unlike with games made for fun.
