I've been trying to make it work since genetic apex, at this point I'm doing it out of spite, with ivysaur and the buttplug it feels usable for the first time.
My thought was that with EX one you can let one die while you build a second one on the bench but in all my games so far I never got to this point, the game is too fast paced.
Objectively speaking I think we're better off running the mega 'saur.
