Why did they stop making Pokemon like these?
>>
who the hell is steven stone
>>

slugma balls
>>
What even is the correlation between these?
>>

westoids
>>

good and sovlful designs
>>
>>58784836
Mons that get revealed years before their generation of games or shitmons? Because they still make the latter.
>>
>>58784850
Pokemon that get released/teased before they debut officially in a game.
The last time I remember this happening is like Helioptile in the Black and White anime Decolora Adventures
>>
>>58784836
no one wants to see the shitty designs they make today early
>>
>>58784836
Just reveal a new Charizard form. No need to gamble on a new Pokémon when you can continue milking ol' reliable.
>>
>>58784938
I was going to say that this has to be good evidence for how rushed the games are nowadays, but we now know DP were also rushed and Munchlax still debuted like 2 years before their release.
>>

Zoomgroid
>>
>>58784986
They also teased Bonsly, Munchlax, Weavile and everyone's favorite Lucario here or there before the release of DP
>>
>>58784938
There's a constant stream of Pokemon shit nowadays so people don't need early mons to be reminded that a new game is going to release at some point. Everyone expects a new gen every few years at this point.

>DP were also rushed

No less than GS or RS, if anything DP got it the best because they started dev immediately after FRLG dropped. The difference is rushing a 2D game just is easier to do than a 3D game. It comes across as DP were the last games to really had a bunch of cut mons because going from BW-onward it seems like if something doesn't get passed the concept stage, it doesn't get implemented

Gen 2 pokemon that look like they should be Gen 3 and Gen 3 pokemon that look like they should be in Gen 2 are peak design. I wish someone would just redesign every pokemon after gen 2 with this aesthetic.
>>
>>58784836
because this only works in the pre-internet age

what is this thing, and why does it look like it's going to suck my dick in a nightclub bathroom
>>
I love Marill, it's so cute and blue and round
>>
>>58784998
DP easily had the best build up to its debut
>>
>>58784836
Why are they almost always shitmons? It sucked being excited to use one of these fuckers for sometimes well over a year only to find out they were dogshit, or even worse, late game AND dogshit.
>>
>>58786626
They started too early with it. Fucking 2 and half years before the game came out Munchlax was everywhere, might as well have been a gen 3 pokemon.
