What kinds of villains would you like to see in gen 10 and beyond?
>>58792410An evil team that takes advantage of children with heavy pedophilic undertones. The grunts speak like lolipedos on /vp/
>>58792410Team Yell but for the player and they're actively sabotaging your opponents. Opposing Pokemon are already injured, have status conditions, etc. They frame you as their ringleader and a cheat because their actual ringleader has some petty grudge against you.
A general theme of overdevelopment - destruction of nature to build more cities/buildings/etc.>Bad guy is a billionaire magnate that is expanding the cities of the region, cutting down forests and parks and all that>His 'construction teams' defend their development by strong-arming locals - use Fighting, Steel, Ground types.>All this awakens the local Grass-type legendary that wants to protect nature
>>58792410A team of evil business people that create dangerous psychotic clones pokemon and only see pokemon as a means for profit, Team Pal
>>58792509Maybe try something more original perhaps?
>>58792410A group of adult veteran trainers that insist that Pokemon are not for children, wanting to shut children away from Pokemon and turn the attention of the sport of Pokemon battling in general towards adults. They also very specifically happen to be anti-kill-child.
>>58792489Could actually be neat
>>58792594The actual ringleader is your overbearing mother who legitimately thinks you don't have what it takes to be championAnd it turns out that you don't, you're intended to lose to the Champion as they have an actually comped team and infinite battle/healing items just in case, the postgame is you trying to run the gym challenge legit and win the league
A team that is farming mints and bottle caps, so even the grunts have perfect IVs in at least one stat per pokemon, and the admins have competitively ready mons. They boast about making their pokemon submit to them for the sake of power
>>58792621What happens if you also overtune your team and btfo her.
>>58792410Funnily enough a few weeks ago I had a bit of an odd dream about a pokemon villain team in a game>the team promotes the idea that, given most pokemon have intelligence on par with humans, they should be considered our equals to some degree and allowed to be independent and live among human society>they make their point throughout the game by having programs to educate pokemon so they can operate in society, several locations run by pokemon that they promote, and even having some among their ranks>the protagonist and co. argues against it by stating that a pokemon without a trainer is no different than a wild animal going off pure instinct. No matter how smart or civilized they are, they need a trainer to control them>game actually makes it a point that they aren’t entirely wrong or bad, and that they even have a point, but you’re still meant to hate them>the teams downfall comes from when the leader’s pokemon, for seemingly no reason at all, mauls him to death>all of their programs get shut down and it’s treated like a good thingWeirdest part was that they acknowledged that they weren’t bad, but had to be treated as such because it would change things from how they were. Basically you had to take them down not because they were evil, but because it would change the status quo (and that’s bad)
>>58792410Game Freak with the game critiquing their lack of care for Pokémon or TPC with the game critiquing the sanitation of the franchise.
>>58792410A scam call center in the inevitable India region.
>>58792410An Evil Team based on Disney.Their goal is to change the law of the region in order to have exclusive access to every Pokemon. You could then make it a mechanic if the game. Where after beating a Disney Admin, the Pokemon you used get “copyrighted” and you have to pay a fee every time you want to use them again.
>>58793072team plasma but jewish
>>58792410My idea: Evil team is an energy company that powers the region by extracting the planet’s life force. They fund everything, so most people let it slide. Your rival is tied to them somehow, but their memories don’t add up. NPCs recognize them from old facilities they insist they’ve never been to. It’s later implied their past was altered during research linked to a legendary Pokémon created by the company. That legendary wants to return the world to the planet’s original state, keeps causing disasters, and clearly knows your rival. The company goes down, but the legendary keeps acting on its own, leading to a final confrontation.
One in my head>Villain Leader is the grandson of a Yakuza boss who acts like Scarface (Reverse Giovanni being an Italian in Japan)>Grandpa basically is benign, not too much of a problem because they got nothing on how he makes his riches>Grandson basically becomes the fuckchild of Mr.Beast and Hassan Piker, being basically a rival who uses his money and influence to cause problems for the protagonist after he loses a 'friendly match' (He expected to wipe the floor with you and got humiliated)>Proceeds to continue peddling shitty Pokemon advice that doesn't work, promoting his content>Your friendly rival buys into the bullshit and becomes and admin>His fanboys/girls, then eventually corporate sponsers, then eventually his fathers goons start harassing you>After his second defeat, fucker starts causing problems for the region with his events of self-promotion and trying to find stronger Pokemon to beat you>Fucks with the Legendary Pokemon that threatens the world>Eventually eats dirt and is arrested after your final bout before the Elite 4.>Grandpa sends him away to avoid punishment in the post-game, stating it's his own punishment for causing his own business to get in trouble with the police
>>58792410Muslim Brotherhood.
>>58792591>They also very specifically happen to be anti-kill-child?????
>>58792410Literally anything but the "misunderstood misfits" Team Skull was great. Not great enough to keep trying and failing to recapture the magic time and time again
>>58792591They could have 2 distinct factions. One that think children are ruining Pokémon since the world needs to accommodate them and one that thinks they're to dangerous for children. The groups also hate each other
>>58792410I’ve had this idea for an evil team that is composed of people with psychic powers in a region based on New England. They would be attempting to use a Cthulhu-esque legendary to remove free will from the general population and create a psi-ocracatic regime, where espers rule and everyone else drools. The leader would be sort of a mix between Cyrus and Ghetsis, preaching about the evils of free will and the necessity for mankind and Pokémon to be of one mind to move forward, while actually only wanting to create a new world order with espers at the top. Personality wise, he’d be charismatic, gentlemanly, and kind of unflappable, kind of like Joker from ROD the TV, if anyone’s seen that.
