Returning legendaries for dex autism and competifags is blocked behind the big BBC, the other things that require BP are extremely minor and are done naturally as you explore the terarium and catch pokemon, you could spend hours and hours and hours in the DLC without worrying about BP and you would only miss the league room looks/music and the starters (I would mention inviting people to the room too but that costs so little it's once again a literal non factor). And all that is only for the second part of the DLC, The Indigo Disk, while The Teal Mask doesn't even use BP in any way.

The constant revising of designs is one of the few Japanese-isms the brand just can't shake. If this was an American brand they would dig their heels in to capitalize on nostalgia by keeping everything identical. Like how the English brand logo for Pokemon is stuck being this goofy racecar bed Kids WB font. That's something that should be updated, and they frequently tweak and update the Japanese/Asian logos. But nah, let's fuck with Pikachu too, we need to corner the market of newborns and fetuses
