Plenty of Pokémon need a cross-gen pre-evo. They should also give Baby Pokémon more gameplay benefits. Especially because for some reason every cross-gen pre-evo is also a Baby Pokémon.

We should be at the point where one of the generations is just cross-evos or new species from two existing Pokemon.
