Successfully taught my son how to count cards, what are the logistics of making him the very best like no one ever was in TCG?
Teach him to sell the cards instead so he has a valuable life skill
>>58801044I like to think my kids will grow up to naturally out earn pokemon card scalpers.
>>58801071nta but being able to flip merchandise for a fast profit is vastly more useful and practical (and less likely to put you in casino jail) than counting cards
>>58801039>figure out what his favorite pokemon is>build a deck around it>do the same for yourself>play some games with himalternatively, buy a box and assembled decks based on vibes (super easy to do in Pokemon) or buy pre-constructed decks
>>58801077Not everything has to earn money. Wouldn't you want your children to win trophies or at least compete as a challenger? Like I said I'm confident most of my kids will out earn card scalpers when they grow up.>>58801078His favorite pokemon are Garchomp and Cinderace. But they aren't very meta, I've been teaching him how to play Dragapult EX decks (a pokemon he also likes), while I play tera dark Charizard ex.
>>58801087>Wouldn't you want your children to win trophies or at least compete as a challenger?I'd rather teach my children that they can win competitions through their own skill and not have to rely on cheating or underhanded methods.
>>58801095Counting cards is not cheating and a basic skill for anyone that plays any card game. The real cheaters are those who do tricky shit while shuffling. Also unlike poker pokemon decks have variety unless your opponent is playing the most popular version of a meta deck you can't really count their cards since you don't know the contents of their deck most of the time, which leads to you counting the cards in your own deck which anyone with common sense already does. If I were teaching him to be a cheater I would also share skills on how to false shuffle.
>>58801087Cynthia's garchomp is a good deck
>>58801087>His favorite pokemon are Garchomp and Cinderace. But they aren't very metathe meta changes. Have him make the Garchomp and Cinderace deck then transition to the *playstyle* he likes. If he doesn't have his pet deck he plays for fun, it's going to be a lot more difficult to care for and pilot a meta deck
