Im 6'4" 220 lbs physically fit. Most pokemon you encounter especially near civilisation like a town dont pose much of a threat even to an adolescent much to myself. Youd have to be careful not to hurt them badly in reality desu prior to catching. There's a handful which would be a danger, and you'd be safer with a weapon in a group. But youre extremely unlikely to encounter anything superhuman level. In otherwords itd be a piece of piss to capture a team of Pokémon quickly and have protection. Itd just be incredibly grindy if it works like the game and you have a place to live in town and aren't a nomad venturing out for stronger pokemon battles.
