>go to spear pillar, dumbass
Literally all they had to do was put that on the Azure Flute's wondercard
>>
no no you don't understand, we would've been too stupid to comprehend that
>>
>There is a strong force calling you to Spear Pillar.
>Somehow you were taken there.
>Event starts.

Literally all they had to do was put that on the Azure Flute's event.

Masuda's reason for removing the flute is BS. You literally return to Spear Pillar if you want to catch Dialga and Palkia lol. Plus there's way more cryptic shit in Gen 4, like Munchlax or Battle Hall fans.

Masuda: ahah flute too hard please understand
Also Masuda: Braille rocks
>>
>>58801834
They didn't want to force jap kids to climb up to Spear Pillar AGAIN because they got literal complaint letters and emails from parents who said their kid was frustrated with Pokemon because Mt. Coronet was too much of a hassle to navigate, which in turn is why Unova, Kalos, Alola and Galar were all theme parks with straight lines and no possible way of getting lost or confused.
>>
>>58802493
What is twist mountain
>>
>>58802493
you already did this boomerfag, and can't substantiate any of these letters lol. they removed it cause masuda was butthurt people hacked in arceus as early as 2007
>>
>>58802501
People were already cheating in Deoxys, Mew, Ho-Oh and Lugia in Gen 3, why would he suddenly be butthurt about people cheating the mythicals in Gen 4? Why would they program the events, KNOWING people would cheat, if the intent was to prevent cheating?
>>
>>58802496
An extremely simple dungeon that relies on the straightforward of branching paths that quickly lead to dead ends, has no HM requirements in BW, and you only have to go through once as a mandatory visit.
Unlike Mt. Coronet which has multiple entrances, multiple paths with different functions, multiple HM requirements, and has to be visited multiple times over the course of the entire game.
>>
>>58802507
So why would they remove the azure flute for the reason that "kids can't make there way up to Spear Pillar despite needing to visit it multiple times in the story lol". Makes no sense, dumbass.
>>
>>58802521
Because they knew kids were SICK AND TIRED of climbing Mt. Coronet. They didn't want to make them do it one more time, because then they'd get another wave of complaint letters and emails from parents who believe their words fell on deaf ears.
>>
>A mysterious flute meant to be played to the heavens
Just make the description anything similar to that, just so it makes players think "Hmm, what area could count as the heavens/a really high up place"
>>
>>58801834
Reminder that Arceus watched as their own kid was restrained with red chains built off of abused Pokemon and a man came close to resetting the universe and did fucking nothing about it.
>>
>>58802687
Because Arceus knew it would be resolved, there was never any "came close" about it.
The universe is preordained per its grandiose design, hence why a part of its machinations rely on a child from a future that has yet to be cemented in stone to resolve the events of Hisui, which would then in turn set up the future tha tthe fated child would be born in so they could be pulled back into Hisui.

I'm like 90% sure they had some reason other than "too confusing for kids" and that's just the boilerplate excuse they use if it ever comes up
It would not have been any more confusing than any of the other mystery gifts that triggered an in-game event in gen 4 (Oak's Letter, Member Card, Regigigas, Rotom's room, Deoxys's meteorites, the Ilux Shrine events, Sinjoh Ruins...). Pretty much all of them at the bare minimum mentioned in the mystery gift's description what you had to do and/or that you could go online to learn more
I also think the gen 5 events triggered by transferring the mystery gift legendary beasts and Celebi from gen 4 would be way more confusing to a kid

YOU MUST HAVE SPECIFIC EVENT REGI TRIO IN PARTY IN ORDER TO AWAKEN THIS NEW LEGENDARY. NO, WE WON'T EXPLAIN THIS IN-GAME.
