Am I contrarian?Nah. It's just honestly one of the custard, cleanest, and most consistent lines out there. And the fact that not even the mega deviated too far from the roots is blessed.Other than that, I really like Fuecoco. Just Fuecoco sadly.

I both love and hate Sceptile. On one hand, I really like the design and it was my first starter back in Pokemon Sapphire. Its Mega in ORAS is my #1 favorite Pokemon design of all time.However, it pains me just how terribly GameFreak mishandled Sceptile.>Only Gen III starter to not have a secondary typing and considered the worst of the three>Gets screwed over by the second part of the physical/special split in Gen IV>Its Hidden Ability from Gen V does not suit it very well>Continues to receive physical moves when it needs special moves>Its Mega Evolution from Gen VI has all the same issues as base SceptileI want Sceptile and Mega Sceptile to be viable, but man do they need some work for that to happen.Really hoping for some new abilities. Regenerator, Armor Tail, or something new that makes its physical movepool use its Special Attack stat.And if not that, then at least expand its special movepool. Earth Power, Nasty Plot, Thunderbolt... like come on.
