>>58808856That's the issue, I can believe someone got a basic idea for a visual design from a AI generated image early in the workflow. There's a lot of room from that point to the final product. But AI music is pretty much ready out of the box after the first step. Especially if it's openly digital music with nothing like lyrics to give it away. Even if he spiced it up and fit the pieces together, getting things like melodies and genre choice from AI music gens is a LOT of the leg work.
No wonder the music was good. Now if only they let the AI make the game itself....

There's no indication that he used AI for the tracks he worked on in the game. That'd be like seeing that one of the artist draws porn so that means they drew porn of one of the characters. When freelancers do work like this, they have to work within the guidelines of who they're being contracted by. There's no evidence Game Freak used AI or endorses the use of AI in their workflow.

honestly some of the designs in ZA look ai generated, but a lot of the PLA designs did too (those godawful dialga/palkia alt forms) despite ai image gen not really being mainstream/good back in 2022, so i think the design team is just on fucking crack
