Only if a Pokemon / character that you like gets something that you want.
Gameplay is still the same and the powercreep gets more absurd. Some people like how familiar the game is after all this time, but some people would find it stale. (Although, one big change that they added in is Terastal, which is basically an extra Tera Blast attack in place of Max Moves. Some characters have infinite uses of Tera Blast while some are limited)

If you stopped playing the game for those reasons, then I wouldn't recommend forcing yourself to return.
If you just want to watch the new story events, then there's plenty of videos on YouTube for that.

Then that would mean that you probably missed out on Buddy Moves, Max Moves, and various other permanent modes (Battle Rally, Pasio Towers, etc) that the game has added in since then.
I have a feeling that you stopped playing before they revamped the game to #PokemonMasterSEX where they overhauled a lot of the game's progression to be more streamlined and less of a hassle, so you don't need to unlock the moveset of new Sync Pairs that you obtain.

Endgame modes expect you to cover just about every relevant mechanic possible and SS Blue doesn't hold up nearly as well on that front. Arc Steven does everything he did overwhelmingly better for general use and water-specific teams greatly prefer supports that can help with rain instead.
And if you want a free* support then the gym scout sync pairs overshadow both SS Blue as well as a lot of contemporary premium supports competing with their respective types.

This was added in before Legends ZA so it unfortunately doesn't have a Mega, but that's a very solid Rock Type Support if you don't have AnniGloria or GymBrock.
He has a Trainer-boosted Iron Defense that also buffs SpDef, as well as upping PMUN and SMUN by 1 rank for each use. The move only has 3 uses though.

Depends on which Sync Pairs you have.
If you have Ash, then hope that you can retrieve your account since he'll never be available again ever, and he's one of the best Electric Type units in the game.

Some older Sync Pairs still hold up, but they'll often require 5/5 Move Levels in order to keep up with most end-game modes.
If you just want to casually play the game, then that's also fine too. Sync Pairs from the general pool can pretty much do all of the base content. Some people even challenge themselves in doing the Weekly Champion Stadium with nothing but free-2-play Sync Pairs.

Since every pairs ranked at least once the max is missing 54 CS. Of course pairs added this year don't follow the rule, they only start when they got released (Carmine and Pecharunt never missed a CS because they got used for the only CS possible). Only pairs that don't follow that rules are gym pairs because you can't force the game to give you what you want (Almost a year and still no Grusha in my case) so I started to count them only when I started to saw them. But I think it only impacted Whitney and Lana.

NC May, NC Brendan, Anni Gloria and Anni Irida have the best start for the new units released this year.
Also shoutout to Lance and Dragonair who is the only pair who stayed at 1 for every CS this year !

Overall the results are lower than last year (expect Tina) for most pairs but at least we ranked every pairs this year. There was a small decline of clears (Volkner anon, the Accerola anon, the Alola coomer… even if this one seems to be here for the new Lana alt) but it stayed around 30 like last year. I thinks it’s also normal, more people quit an ‘old’ game than people joining in. I’am still quite happy for this year. We had some surprises (That freebie Kilowattrel…, Florian’s Fuecoco), some things never changed even after a year, (Arc Cynthia never ranked higher than both Courtney and Fall Roxanne on Ground stage at best she tied with them, was ahead of one but never the other or at worse was simply lower than the two of them).
On a personal note : It was a very rough year personally I lost my father and my grandfather not even a year after my grandmother passing away and I know it must sound stupid but doing this stupid charts, updating my LibreOffice Calc file weekly, that really helped me out, to think about other stuff, to just have fun. The posts I read when I said that my father passed away and that I couldn’t do the chart for a while truly made me cry because even if we dont know eachother you showed more sympathy and care than some real people I call friends and for that I can’t thanks you enough!

There's a few ways to go
>all defense buffs, all damage limiters, no crit, use trap & bad psn then live long enough that the enemy dies
>use all offense buffs and out damage the opponent before they kill you
>use some defense buffs but no gradual healing, last long enough to kill them, more sync buffs over them the better
>mixed, but results will vary
You likely will have to keep to what can actually clear the stage for a long time. Once your pairs are powered enough, then you can start sneaking in your favorites to chart them.

Especially with 'all offense buffs', you often can focus on just 1 powerful pair that can fight through, then the other two are favorites you want to chart and will die first.

Whats the catch for these? I'm using fully upgraded Sygna Suits of the recommended type and nothing deals over 1% damage

Dawn is still a solid unit after all this time so I'd say that you won big. Stealing an enemy's Atk stat for every hit she took makes the opposing Physical teams hit like a wet noodle.
Plus, the money you spent didn't really depreciate because that factored in which characters that the devs should prioritize. If anything, the amount of people who pulled for Dawn is probably the reason why she has a number of costumes and alts.

As a note, they tried listening to the "fans" and that resulted in months with dead revenue, like Piers and Roxie's Sygna Suits being lower than the average (I pulled for SS Roxie on launch though, and it's great that she's still one of the best Poison type units. She even works well in Electric teams)

I didn't really have a gameplan with my gems so over three days I rolled for everything and I wasn't close to sparking anywhere. They had one of those new player specials though, where you pay 3k paid gems to roll and then choose a 5 star. But there were no gem deals, so I paid the full $30 for it. When her NC alt came out, I had enough to spark, but I still bought that gem deal for completing the story. I'll buy the second one when she gets another alt, but I have enough resources to immediately bring her to lv.200 10/10. I just need it to actually happen.

Here's to hoping Nessa gets another alt soon too.

Her kit is literally designed with Max Moves in mind, and yet, the devs have somehow forgotten to give her one.
I tried mentioning her (alongside Summer Gloria and Summer Marnie) in the monthly feedback back then that they should be given their Max Moves if they were ever planning on giving Cynthia a swimsuit (and they did) as part of the event. (Nessa's outfit kinda looks like a swimsuit anyways)
I even suggested ideas on how this would be a good way of revamping general units without giving them a Super Awakening, and maybe monetize it by making Dynamax bands an upgrade item with their own banner or something, so it would be usable on several Sync Pairs that might be applicable.

And from the looks of it, nothing ever happens.

Only if you like Giovanni or Nidoking, right now he is more of unit that hits hard type weakness specific stages, his Variety is similar but brings some WTZ at least and is purely AOE.
He isn't terrible but right now you get many other solid Ground type teams.
You might invest on 5/5 at best but zuoer awakening seems too much for a non fav, even if his SA isn't as bad as some others got.

If Nidoking isn't invested he will eat lot of gauge, especially with Groudon.
NC Brendan wants other partners, he can rely on Academy Kabu and Variety N or the same AS Cynthia and NC Leaf to name a few, Variety Ethan too.
He goes well with either Sun weather or Ground Zone or both.
Of course you can run either MC Brendan and SS1 Giovanni with other options like F Roxanne and SC Adaman too, or SS1 Giovanni with NY Raihan and Ingo, whatever you have as long as it isn't Hapu.

Special Costumes are just another flavor of Seasonals except they are event themed, Variety also happen to be sort of limited units that can or not feature different trainer outfits or introduce new trainers even.
Special Sync Pair are usually free special pairs with whimsical reruns and availability, they can introduce alts or new characters, the alts often do not have different outfits but I don't think those are that important. Academy, AC or Academy Pair are Pasio Academy alts, A / Anni / Anniversary are also seasonals to celebrate the game anniversary.
SS is just a common Sygna Suit alt, just another outfit excuse for an event, but currently, unless they are Master Fair banners, they can unlock a 10/5 super awakening potential. A Sygna Suit can be freebie, genpool, pokefair or masterfair, SS is just an acronym for an alt, sometimes the SS gets an extra detail in its name to specify the alt and sometimes it's just a new basic name SS alt, see Elesa.
Then there is C for Classic, or Alt., those are used for a character's other canon official game alts, or they use other names for it (Classic, Dojo, Champion/Alt), Leon with Dragapult can be listed as BT Leon because it uses his Battle Tower alt.
Both Special Costume, Variety, Pokefair, Masterfair banners also use official ingame alts sometime, they can also introduce the trainers by their other aliases like Clive, Bellelba, etc, so far Masked Royal is the only exception being in the genpool since he was an early unit.
Also L for Lodge, the reward unit you can from interacting with a trainer at the trainer lodge. DC is the Damage Challenge shop unit, BP is the Battle Shop unit, both use tickets to be exchanged for.

Variety pairs are often from events or collabs to promote the Pokemon, like how Cynthia got Spiritomb and Ethan got Ho-Oh to coincide with the release of the TCG cards.
Variety units also don't have any costumes attached to them so they're just wearing their default outfits, but they're often really good units to have either way despite the awful fanfare. (At least, the new ones are. The Eevees have aged horribly now that Field roles are a thing)

Cutting out the SA part makes this so much more comprehensive otherwise it makes them think SA is mostly a SS mechanic.
