I can't find a definitive answer online...
If I have a female pokemon with a hidden ability, can I pass it down via a ditto, or do I need a male of the same species? Does the male also need to have the hidden ability?
I've gone through like 20 gligar with no immunity yet, but the parent female gligar does have it, while breeding with a ditto.

Also to clarify, this is gen 5 I'm referring to.

i remember getting a speed boost blaziken back then was only possible by cheating because the event mon couldn't breed it down so probably not

Any male, no Ditto. 60% chance for BW, 80% for B2W2.
