Arbok is about as cool as you can make a snake without getting absolutely crazy. Omastar and Kabutops are super cool. Dodrio was always underrated and cool. The only real stinkers here is dewgong, hypno, and seaking. Those 3 can disappear and never come back

Kabutops is a similar case with Genesect, but that's a bit more tenuous. When Omastar gets new tools or forms, Kabu should as well.

If they downplay "problematic" aspects (ie make her a more white snow ghost) they'll get heat for whitewashing. If they go in a completely different direction, they'll get heat for trying to rewrite history.Porygon is more like Kadabra. Porygon's "ban" never extended beyond the anime, and Kadabra's "ban" was exclusive to the TCG. If anything, Porygon's was lest strict, since it still showed up in wrap-around or interstitial material, like those "World of Pokemon" sequences. Kadabra had zero new TCG cards for a decade. But neither were sidelined or downplayed in the games as a result. The Jynx controversy impacted every aspect of Pokemon merch and media indefinitely, and the ripple from that has impacted other mons and human characters.

We can get stuff like the PoryPhone, but we'll never get OLM/TPC's internal "full brightness" masters of the anime episodes, apart from the times they've slipped through the cracks.
