Flint's team in D/P is actually supposed to be a sun team but they added irony to this by not including Bronzong (which has Heatproof), Cherim (which has a sun-specific form), and Skunktank (one of the few if not the only Sinnoh Pokemon which has a Fire-type move as its signature attack) along with Flint's AI being random so chances are he will never actually set up sun because it was all a very clever reference to how Gamefreak lacks the inability to do anything right
