I've never played Pokemon seriously, I only picked whatever was cooler and called it a day. Recently I booted up my 16 year old HG save and thought of attempting the 100 win streak at the Battle Tower for the card upgrade. After some trial and error and getting my shit pushed in, I managed to take down first Palmer using Latias, Dragonite and Tyranitar. But even that was somewhat down to the wire.I've been researching and it seems going for the 100 win streak is actually hard as shit, or, at least, grindy. It seems you need to manage IVs, EVs, nature and all that shit that I have almost zero idea about. I know IV has to do with breeding, I know EV has to do with the pokemons you battle but what I do not know is how grindy is it to get all of this perfect or at least 'good enough'.I was thinking of changing my team toLatias GengarGarchompOut of those, I can get a new, optimized Gengar, but I can't get another Latias or Garchomp. How important is it to engineer your pokemon? Getting perfect EVs, IVs and whatnot. Is it doable without that? How grindy is it? I've heard of people putting 100-200 hours to get that shit done. That's more than I can afford.

Your team can get fucked Ice Beam / Blizzard which is common on set 2 mons. You might want to replace Latias with Starmie, Mespirit, or Azelf

>>58819080>EVs>NatureI see, thanks. Well, that means I can't do it, mainly due to natures.>It's a gamethat's a bit disingenuous but thanks nonetheless
