Because in-universe and lore, the pokés from L: A are being taken out of their original time period, to appear in modern times, where the modern pokéball storage system has been enacted to log and transfer everyone's pokémon. I learned the hard way: don't bother. Pumpkaboo/Gourgeist is different in that they still come in their own small/medium/large/extra large varieties that determine their stats in this game. However, ALL of these forms also have four different sizes in the game like every other pokemon. But for whatever horrendeous reason, GF decided that all hyperspace Pumpkaboo/Gourgeist will be medium variety, so the size would only be XS medium, XL medium, etc. (idk about alpha though).

I'm confused to what numbers to actually use for tid and sid on the pokefinder profile, because they don't matter for anything but eggs and now I need to get them right

The bot gave me TID (which is the number on my trainer card) and SID. Do I need to convert both of the numbers or only TID since it's G8TID?
I've tried combinations of raw and converted numbers but nothing worked yet

When I started the game I did the munchlax thing but it was my first time using the method and I think I messed up somehow because the values it gave me are different from the bot's.

Stuff like "they get along well" settings and ditto gender, abilities, IVs (they're both 6IVs), gender ratio, etc, are all correct
Should I just beat the game and try again with the oval charm just in case the masuda method isn't working?

no, you need to heal your pokemon in a pokemon center to create a backup save and then use your donut

Every time you fast travel, your game creates a backup save. When you load it, it will place you at the last PK center you used.
Contrary to retarded belief, you do not need to heal at the center to create the save, but it does control which one you end up at.

Just use a lvl 3 capture power donut, it boosts the catch rate by a flat 30%, making it all but guaranteed

MMing in SwSh was faster because you could collect and hatch a pokemon every minute or less.
Separating the 2 steps is inefficient and takes much longer. I MMd Duraludon in SV and it took me 1800+ eggs, that was the last straw.

My first shiny hunted legendary. I know that getting them in ZA isn't anything special compared to earlier games but it still feels great since in the past I tried to get Shiny Dialga in BDSP and failed miserably. Didn't have enough time to get the Shiny Alpha Altaria from the free shiny but I don't care that much.

But if mean how do you deal with them when they arrive, you go in with any old donut to check what they are, use the back up save to leave the distortion and get a level 3 shiny donut that matches one of the types and keep on reloading your save when you feel time is getting too short. Remember to not catch anything as that causes an autosave which ruins your progress.
