>let's set new pokemon games outside of japan
>2 american regions
>3 regions set in a small corner of western europe
>no russian, chinese, italian, african, south east asian, etc. inspired region
Should've just stayed in japan.

The games took a massive nosedive the moment they moved out of it so yeah they probably should have

Despite there being two U.S. inspired regions, there are surprisingly few U.S culture Pokémon. What is there other than Braviary?

No they weren’t.

The problem with trying to represent american culture comes down to america being the melting pot of the world. Pretty much everything comes from somewhere else and things like native americans are treated as their own thing.
That just leaves you with things like comicbook heroes and graffiti, which strangely paldea already has pokemon for that.

That's true to an extent, but it's not like there aren't many American things they can use as inspiration. Things like fiction, landmarks, and cryptids (sableye is based on a cryptid) can inspire countless designs. I imagine if they make another U.S inspired game, they'll focus more on American culture, since they wanted to focus on the cosmopolitan aspect of New York for Unova.

There should be a pokemon region inspired by just Japan as a whole.

Because while the first four regions are set in a location based on Japan, with the exception of Johto due to its traditional Japanese cities like Ecruteak and Violet City, they don't really feel like Japan and you can't tell me Saffron City is like Tokyo.

Now I know the original pokemon anime had Japanese elements but that was the anime, nothing in Kanto screams culturally Japanese aside from mabye Erika or Kogas design and then you have Hoenn which is more about people surviving in a tropical environment and then you have Sinnoh which has no reference to Ainu culture what's so ever despite being based of Hokkaido and is very culturally western with there being log cabins in Solaceon City with blonde haired cowboys and cowgirls living in them, Greek architecture like the Hellenistic styled Spear Pillars at the top of Mt Coronet and the hotel near Pastoria City that kinda resembles Santorini and the European style cathedral in Hearthome City.

So i think a pokemon region based on all of Japan itself would be amazing and imagining having a explorable City that actually looks like Tokyo? You could also have Mt Fuji be the highest point in the game and mabye even turn the suicide forest into a scary location that's quite dark.

Given how big and varied the US is i’d imagine any future US-based region would just narrow its focus on a specific area than just the US as a whole, hence why they aren’t cramming in everything america-related into those regions. Can very well see us getting future regions based on the midwest, the south, texas, or california to name a few
