It's just a pretty, relaxing Pokemon experience. I wouldn't call it a great "game", but if you've played the original Snap you know what you're in for. I actually like that it's not overly game-ified, it still has that "interactive software" vibe from the original, very much wears its PC software inspiration on its sleeve

>>58836196Fwiw, New Snap does a lot to remix stages, something the original never did. OG Snap is like Banjo Kazooie. You can generally 100% a level in one go, assuming you know the secrets and mechanics. New Snap is more like Mario 64, where there are different board states for each level. Some puzzles can't be solved in Board 1-A, you have to unlock 1-B which then helps you understand the map and interactions.

It's usually the first time, then the second time is after you unlock the apple or pester ball to get the hidden route. Then the third time when you have the flute and motor to get the signs. It's like these faggots never even got Mew. I'll admit that there's some tedious shit in New Pokémon Snap like some of the achievements but the idea of having the play the same levels again being bad is retarded.Playing the game with /vp/ and trying to get all the 4 star poses and alternate paths was the closest I've gotten to playground rumor type shit and genuine discovery in any video game in the past 2 decades.
