we really aren't going to have all the pokemon in one game ever again are we?
It's unrealistic by this point unless it was a constantly supported game like an MMO. It's too much work to add 1000+ characters to a game that's only meant to last three years and then do it again with even more added.

Personally I don't see why they don't just make one Generation for every console at this point and just sell DLC expansions every year. It'd save them dev time having to reinvent the wheel every three years and it would mean they could actually end up bringing back every Pokemon in one gen.
