Why is it Normal type again?
>>58845140it's a plant that normals
>>58845140Olive oil is considered holy and thus it's immune to evil spirits
>>58845140It's a dryad.
>>58845140because normalfags love to eat olives
>>58845380Wouldn't the Fairy type make more sense in that case?
>>58845140It stole the Normal typing from Rookidee.
>>58845140because it's very normal to love olives
>>58845386What are these stereotypes? Do people genuinely think that?
>>58845140Because the final evo is a grass/ghost deadass tree
>>58845140Is normal because it's not virgin
>>58845140intentionally branching out the normal typing to increase the variety of monster designs that can be attributed to a certain type. Similar to how they've been making anything that dances or that is aggressive Fighting-type, how Dragons can be anything from a bird, to a bat, to literally some sushi, and how Dark, Fairy, Psychic, and Ghost can just kinda be slapped on anything without thinking about it.
>>58845413I guess they were focusing more on the "it's a literal human in tree" aspect than anything distinctly magical.I assume that was the same logic behind Drampa, it's a literal old man + dragon.
>>58847033Drampa screams really loud and sound is normal type (like in Exploud and Meloetta and several attacks)
>>58847025I was gonna say the reason Dragon types are getting weirder is bc they've already exhausted all the fantasy dragon archetypes (think Dragonite, Salamence, Hydreigon, etc.), but now that I think about it, I don't think that's true yet anyways. We haven't had a cockatrice Pokémon yet for instance, and I don't think Tatsugiri counts as a lindwurm.
