They were there for a time in Go but that was so long ago I'm not sure if they still do it. No connection to Colosseum that was something Team Rocket did. Headcanon: They stole the tech. There was also a spinoff involving shadow Pokemon in development that got cancelled for Legends Arceus. It wasn't Colosseum 3, though I think it was like Monster Hunter. Source: Terraleaks.

A modern Pokémon in Orre would be amazing.
Imagine having it dungeons for the integrated species, an open world so you can enjoy doing tricks on your hooverbike, the ability to move around like in LA, and the fighting mechanics of ZA (maybe a bit sped up, so some Pokémon finally move).
That would be as close to a proper open world with our Pokémon being protectors and partners than just stickers inside their menu.

If Pyrite Town was your home, there's a nonzero chance your body ends up being dumped into The Under. That's what was so great about Colosseum, they really didn't shy away from the idea of Pokemon taking place in bumfuck nowhere with its share of ghettos and genuinely dangerous criminals.

XD always felt like the gentrified version of Colo, if that makes sense. I get it's meant to show that things are better after Wes defeated Cipher, but it's just not the same as the feeling of having to fight for your fucking life armed with nothing but Johto shitmons and a pack of Newports.
