What is the Gen 6 "Sinnoh Team"?
>>58852225Greninja Chariard LucarioNobody else is worth using
>>58852225GreninjaCharizardLucarioLaprasSylveonXerneas/YveltalHonorable mentions: Talonflame, and Blaziken if played at launch. Every kid, and even CWC according to a /vp/oreon who battled him in a Facebook group back then and shared the replay code here, ran some variant of this.
There are 400+ Pokemon in modern games, and therefore no standard team. But there are many popular picks and variations. Greninja/Chesnaught/DelphoxMega Venusaur/Charizard/BlastoiseFlorges or Sylveon for FairyAegislashTyrantrum or Aurorus for Fossil LaprasSnorlaxMega LucarioTalonflameHawluchaGoodra
>>58852225Gen 6 doesn't have one because Gen 6 has no identity.
>>58852369>Everyone would use Route 1 mons if Gen 6 had a stronger identity Sinnoh bab cope.
>>58852541>gen 6>route 1 mons????????
>>58852369This. Gen 6 doesn’t have the identity of being a shit game with poor Pokemon distribution.
>>58852369This. Gen 6 doesn’t have worthwhile Pokemon that you can use from the beginning of the game
>>58852576The humble Talonflame:
>>58852581>Weaker than StaraptorAnother Sinnoh victory
>>58852584Yet infinitely more useful
>>58852225The closest is starter/Kanto starter/Lucario. The rest are flex slots
>>58852588You only need to OHKO your opponent and get back & forth. Both of which Staraptor does better
>>58852225XY has many giftmons. I believe the most common combination involves Greninja/Charizard/Lucario, then Talonflame because early bird and Sylveon because everyone wants to try the new Eevee. Last slot is up to you, I've seen the fossil and Aegislash as common picks. If you did not pick Charizard, then you're likely using the gift Blaziken.
>>58852602Nah
>>58852225Greninja, Talonflame, Mega Lucario, Mega Charizard, Sylveon, Aegislash
>>58852576Neither does sinnoh it also doesn't have any later in the game either.
>>58852369The 2 Kalos fans on the entire internet got really assblasted by this.
>>58852225kek, no one gave enough fucks to make one for it
>>58852695>xy hate thread>20 replies all hating on it>bw hate thread>300 seething replies trying to convince themselves that bw isn't nugenKalos wins again.
>>58852362>>58852688>Kalos has no identity >it has to rely on mons from other regionsJUST
>>58852589Pretty much this. Just finished a playthrough of Y and this was my team
>>58852689Skill issue on your part
Idk but to me Greninja, Mega Charizard whatever, and Tyrantrum are all obligatory “cool” Pokémon

>>58852576>Gen 6 doesn’t have worthwhile Pokemon that you can use from the beginning of the game>Sinnoh is easier Holy plot twist.

While most people have pointed out the Starter/Kanto Starter/Lucario core, few people have identified why that's the case unlike something like the Johto core of Starter/Ampahros/one of like two story Pokemon depending on your starter pick and type variety autism. The starter Pokemon is obvious, but the Kanto one is more interesting for several reasons. Not only is there a nostalgia element for older players and new toys to play with in the form of megas, they're actually just solid Pokemon without it (unlike the elemental monkeys) and immediately provide solid coverage. Lucario, again aside from being a popular Pokemon, is not only foisted on you in the story, but much like B2W2 Riolu is available early and on one of the vanishingly few optional areas as well (which arguably makes both availability options feel worse). The reasonable power level with the option for something better also makes this feel better than something like the free Lati@s in ORAS because holy shit that thing is busted and removes any remote challenge from the game, at least the non-Mega Kanto starters are just solid. Outside of that core there's probably a fairy that is probably Sylveon, Blaziken if you played a launch giving you a trio of starter Pokemon with a variety of types if you don't like Delphox or Charizard, and then the last spot is probably filled with one of the good Pokemon that probably exist as one single encounter on the bloated encounter tables with nothing else worth using over that single Pokemon. Honorable mention to Hawlucha who I feel is the Chandelure of Gen 6 in that it's not a shillmon and people just genuinely like it and want to use it, shame it's overshadowed by the cool ninja frog that Game Freak unpersoned rapidly for some reason.
>>58852342>Greninja>Charizard>LaprasI have never used any of these, ever.I believe my team was Chesnaught HelioliskScolipedeLucario Blastoise Noivern
>>58853106>Not only is there a nostalgia element for older players and new toys to play with in the form of megas, they're actually just solid Pokemon without it (unlike the elemental monkeys) and immediately provide solid coverage.Greninja/Venusaur feels like it was meant to be, resisting the other's weaknesses almost perfectly.
jfc Kalos is such a pushover region
