There are people who beat the whole game with like a level 80-100 slugma What I do when I play the games is get immersed and really feel like I’m a pokemon trainer, which is always why I try different pokemon each run, the games aren’t fun for challenge reasons like a FromSoftware game

Set mode just makes most of the mons in the dex worthless because they're either slow or frail, while you can still have fun using subpar mons with switch mode.
