What would a New Zealand region would be like? What if they also add the subantarctic islands south of it?
>>58859373I actually thought about this exact thing some time ago. Picrel is a region I made when I was 14, it’s based on North Carolina. New Zealand is a really interesting country to base a Pokémon region on. Cook Island (the bigger one) is more mountainous and cold while the northern island is more temperate and tropical. It’d make for a fun contrast that feels believable, unlike say Unova. Cook island had very classy settlement like Christchurch and it also has beautiful fjords. That’s not to mention the several islands and undersea volcanoes that could be turned into fun optional side areas. There’s so much potential there but I doubt that Game Freak would ever go through with the idea. The best we’ll ever get is an Australia region with a bastardized version of NZ as the postgame area.
>>58859373NZ is perfect for a Gen 2 style game, ie: 2 regions, 1 league. You'd call it Pokemon North and Pokemon South. Depending on which game you play, you start on either North or South Island, with the other island being the post-game. I would love it to be a doubles region where you can co-op with someone with the other version, so depending on who joins whom, you gain access to the other island and its Pokemon.
>>58859491>based in north carolina>accidently creates a 1-to-1 replica of eastern EuropeBased lolA southern us region would be pretty cool desu. I think Miami would be the lumiose/castelia and they could extend it from as left to texas and north to Washington D.C
>>58859373Wooloo are on every route and earthquakes are now a naturally occurring weather effect
>>58859373thats just the distortion world
The postgame is hunting billionaire bunkers.
As someone from NZ I'm just gonna be real here. Australia would be the setting for the game and NZ would be the equivalent to the Isle of Armor/Crown Tundra DLC
