>>58878735The Super Ancient Pokemon are questionably Gods, it's more literal when the myth arc was introduced in Gen IV which was trying to retroactively tie together Hoenn with Kanto/Johto's worldbuilding. There was a lot of effort put into that aspectUnova got less effort put into its lore but was more trying to be an independent project which is why it was the first not Japan-based game. The moment Kalos happens though, it's just completely throttled and it got even worse with ORAS

Even in BW when they started throwing in non-natives in the wild in the post-game, they forgot their mascot
