He got to experience a small festival in Kitakami in the DLC, so I think he'd enjoy something on a bigger scale. The food would be fun to try with him! Even though he likes to focus on healthier food, I think he'd like to try out new dishes. We'd share some crazy fried thing and get a couple hot dogs with lots of toppings. >TQVolkner’s definitely a guy who enjoys the rush of a thrill ride. Some of the more unique rides probably get him thinking up new ideas for his gym. I’ll be riding right next to him even though I get dizzy/motion sickness on occasion at those kinda parks. Maybe between big roller coasters we can take a break to eat some sweet junk food or check out water rides. I think he’d also enjoy a water park partially because we can enjoy the view of each other in our swim suits ;P, I could see us floating down the lazy river, sharing a double inner tube, and clinking the glasses of our tropical frozen alcoholic drinks.

I wouldn't call Kabu a husbando of mine or anything but I think he is intensely attractive in a particular sort of way. He has a quiet intensity to him and a determined work ethic, I think putting him as the third gym leader is a mismatch for his character and his bio. I think they had a good character concept but the least awkward place to slot him into gen 8's gym leaders was gym #3 so they just put the square peg in the round hole. His attitude of continual improvement throughout life alongside his age implies he would be an intensely strong trainer at this point but I've always had a personal canon that gym leaders tailor the strength of their teams to the number of badges in a particular adventurer's journey, so it's never been a big sticking point for me. He may have a stronger team because he had a fierce battle leon and you can't do that with the team he puts you up against ingame for the gym challenge.There are a lot of things about gen 8 that annoy me but Kabu is one of the better parts imo.>TQHe comes from Hoenn so he would enjoy the water park despite being a fire trainer. Kabu seems like he would enjoy more traditional japanese foods but would want to eat something healthier that is offered there.

Maybe a smaller fair or festival thing where we enjoy takoyaki together as it gets dark would be nicer for both of us, but I might just be dragging Kabu to what I want to go to.
