For Anons here that have their place got turned into Pokemon's region, are you satisfied with how they adapting the places/nature/culture/whatever in the games?

Yeah I'm pretty satisfied, I don't know about Galar (it feels pretty british but I've never been there so maybe it's all a shallow parody) but Kalos and Paldea are pretty nice, they added small details many (even people from here) didn't notice that helps me feel like I'm really in Spain or France, they are by no means perfect and have their fair share of stereotypes but Mesagoza really feels like wandering in Madrid old town, Lumiose boutiques are chic and make me wanna go shopping on Paris, I feel like eating spanish sandwiches (fun fact they aren't actually sandwiches), enjoying the ladies' parfum, visiting a museum, reading about the fauna/myths they actually adapted from the two countries... I know some were way too excited and expected very obscure references to the cultures and were disappointed with them but I've played spanish and french games that feel less spanish/french at some points, I think they did a great job for people living on the other side of the world and that mostly visit us on vacation because we are their two most liked countries for sightseeing.

Out of everything so far, Galar has the most potential. But its let down so hard, literallt the 2nd worst pokemon game on switch.If we can get Switch titles decompiled the way Mario 64 was, then its SwSh that really needs it and let fans make a real game out of it. That world and setting they created deserves a good game.

>>58886413I'm from NYC and I actually like Unova quite a bit, I think there was a missed opportunity to not go further with the concept and incorporate Long Island though, I guess Eastern Unova has a coastal focus but having something like Pokemon Montauk would've been pretty cool.Castelia & Nimbasa are pretty good representations of the city but having the battle subway be a clean and fun experience instead of a survival horror minigame was a bit of a miss
I always feel bat for Brits and Britaboos considering G*lar is what they got.

The world built in SwSh deserves saving. Might still need to replace some assets that dont fit in well. But you could focus on fitting in a new game around this world.Take any other game? PLA? SwSh and SV are both awful. What I dont get is how they go from knocking it out of the park for the art direction in SwSh... then you get SV. Were GameFreak like "actually we cant have good art either, every aspect of the game needs to be equally shitty", like how?? It has to be on purpose at this point

>>58888332Nope, they originally wanted to take a 1 to 1 irl earth, where pokemon came from...somewhere, and slowly replaced irl animals and caused them to go extinct as a result.It's why there are still a few cases of irl animals in some of the gen 1 content, there's an interview around somewhere where the original developers discuss this but it was dropped. It did make it as far as the beta stages for gen 1 though and you can see some references to some of the ideas they had for this in the earliest mangas and supplementary materials.Some of it even made it into the gen 1 games themselves, like where they found Mew originally. That got retconned later
