The website is so fucking trash and I genuinely can't believe anyone uses it seriously. I remember going on it trying to see everything in the XY Pokedex (long before transfers were available) and one of the last things was Slowking. His website just said it was in Lumiose, it was actually in one of the specific battles in one of the restaurants. Also there's been so many instances where I've looked up news and he just misspells things. He just rushes to get things on first because he's still shit scared of Bulbapedo (or any other website) getting the drop on him.

Although nuzlockes aren't the "official" way to play the games, it's still more accessible and not in a legal gray area compared to romhacks since all you'd need are the console, the game and possibly a search tab up for "how do i play nuzlockes?" if you've a complete noob to it. You could even do it on a freshly released game on launch day with no knowledge of the critters that's in it as long as you know the rules. Romhacks aren't as personal or easy to come by if you're looking for something more specific and it takes a while before newer games can be documented for that. Iirc DS games are just starting to become more documented nowadays so it's gonna be easier to make hacks of those.
