Such a fucking embarrassment holy shit. Over the last few years my disgust for all the negatives has easily been overtaking the positives that kept me holding on. The pokemon universe has taken enough irreversible damage, I don't even wanna acknowledge it, it's unrecognizable and too far detached from what it once was. Not unlike Star Wars and other big franchises, they may be "alive" in the sense that there is people throwing money at the brand but the spirit is very much dead.

I don't know if simultaneous worldwide releases was always on the cards, but Gen 5's staggered release and the reaction from casualfag scum idiots to it not being for 3DS, because Nintendo pushed that out before Pokémon in the west, absolutely forced the issue and with TPC organising the localisation, it was under harder control than passing it off to America and hoping they fasttracked it.
It would salvageable if the game rights were stripped from GameFreak and given to a company that cares about making good games, they can still be kid focused, just make them good ffs

They're not getting more time, even the next 4 years sees Game Freak busting nuts on three projects, ILCA absolutely will have a BW remake in between and Game Freak won't start working on Gen 11 until 2027 for its 2030 release. And that means cuts need to be made to get a game out. Sorry this is so fucking hard for you to understand, but that's why Pokémon shits out a game a year and why GTA shits out a game every 2.15 years (not including DLC and MMO's). Also means that despite GTA's game revenue to date, Pokémon's franchise revenue dwarfs it.
