I think that them being generally unwieldy is fine lore-wise because Pokemon will not be constantly forced to move like that.It's an equivalent of medieval full body armor or fucking Frogmouth helmet - it's genuinely awful to wear, but it's fine because you'll wear it only for dueling/jousting during tournament.

At least you can see how it can drill now. I don't really see how this shape is good for digging. Unless actual drills are shaped like this and I just don't know.

innoffensive and merely okay, it's exactly what I was expecting from the Mega's design. Excadrill stood in the same park as Heracross where a Mega form wouldn't improve the already good base and is just a side thing. Golisopod gives me the same emotions as well
