If they're going to add Pokemon from old generations to the game anyways this is the best way to do it. I hate seeing the same Pokemon over and over.

My problem with them is they don't really fix any problems that the originals may have had. Gamefreak are basically just making a new pokemon that's inspired by the original mon. The closest an original mon has been improved due to a regional form is weezing gaining a new ability. I much prefer pokemon getting a new evo, a new ability or even stat point increases to make them better.
Cool idea on paper. Kind of awkwardly handled in the games. Seems like a 50/50 on whether the design is actually good and makes sense or if it's totally random and doghsit. And if they do have a cool design to them I would rather they have used the idea for a whole new Pokemon. Not to mention the in game reasons for why certain regional variants exist is plain reterded.
