Magic animals aside, how would a Pokemon world function if it theoretically could exist??

People just let go their 10 year old children to wander the world, literal terrorists are everywhere, and the adults are just retarded. No education, no jobs or anything that implies that this society is sustainable.
>>
>>58904215
Non-Pokemon related schools exist, they just aren't relevant to the plot.

The characters that the stories focus on are outliers in the world, not the norm.
>>
yoo that kid got an alpha pikachu

>People just let go their 10 year old children to wander the world
Yes, because the world is that much more suitable for that compared to ours.
>literal terrorists are everywhere
You have to remember that the main characters are going through a story. It's the exception, not the norm.
>and the adults are just retarded
???
>No education
There is education.
>no jobs
There are jobs. We see plenty of people with jobs, many Trainer Classes are just outright jobs. There's some jobs that only exist only their world and some that aren't really a thing there. Pokémon also help with jobs.
>or anything that implies that this society is sustainable.
The society is sustainable in its own way different to ours.

>>58904226
This.

>No education, no jobs or anything that implies that this society is sustainable.
Anything not relevant to the player isn’t shown. Pallet Town doesn’t literally only have 3 buildings, there are roads for cars to drive on in every mainline region, and so on.

Or they don't prioritise battling the way other schools do. While it's true not every kid goes on a journey, enough do that not only do you meet loads of school-aged kids running around collecting plot tokens assumedly, you even have others working/training under gym leaders, as well as some BEING gym leaders.
Stop trying to make the real world a thing in Pokémon, they've had the chance to try and marry that and dropped it as a bad fucking idea.
>>
>>58904226
that makes no fucking sense, the world is full of trainers for it to be "not the norm", retard.
>>
>>58904262
Being a Pokemon Trainer like being an athlete, very few people are good enough at it to making a living doing nothing but training and battling Pokemon

We still get occasional references to "normal" people in the games. The people who struggle just to keep a job and pay their rent.
>>
>>58904274
That sounds more like an adult's daily issues, or a young adult's realisation life isn't your parental units providing for you. Besides, we know everyone in Lumiose is participating in the Z-A Royale, who's to say yon boy isn't burning candle at both ends and seeing his daylife suffer as a result (unable to stay employed, unable to earn enough either way to pay rent).
>>
>>58904215
>People just let go their 10 year old children to wander the world,
Granted, they needed reading comprehension to get shit done.
>>
>>58904364
If youre not the protagonist you get the pants beat off of you (literally) by those adult fat trainers you see in the games
>>
>>58904337
>we know everyone in Lumiose is participating in the Z-A Royale

Completely false
>>
The gen 3 anime had a pretty fun episode about an office drone who also participates in Pokemon Contests in his spare time even though his buzzkill cunt of a wife opposed it.
It's pretty clearly communicated that a lot of "trainers" have actual full-time jobs and don't just run around battling kids all day.
>>
>>58904520
There are "trainers" who just "battle" kids all day in remote areas
>>
>>58904215
>how would a Pokemon world function if it theoretically could exist??
The average age of new trainers raises from 10 to 18. Pokeballs would be considered weapons on the same level as guns.
>>
>>58904262
Most trainers are just hobbyists, they don't set out to challenge gyms or the E4
>>
>>58904520
There was also a wageslave who got stranded on a remote island, and when he got a chance to return to civilization, he remembered how miserable he was there and stayed on the island
>>
>>58904435
Anon, most are. We got kids, oldfags, office drones service workers and even the Bourgeoisie going out into the battle zones at night and that's not counting the actual named NPC adults ALSO getting their arse handed to them by the player in the tournament. Given the Pokémon world revolves aroyund pokémon, stunningly enough, the peoples' activities are SIMILARLY saturated with pokémon inclusion. Can't fucking throw a stone in Lumiose without it landing near some cunt walking with their 'mon, got cunts looking specific spots to live in as a result of their pokémon's wishes and as always, have the ubiquitous "pokémon-based service companies" alive and well there too. But yeah, the lion's share the population's a realworld nortmalfag cunt liek you, devoid of any spark of joy, so they don't care about pokémon, right.

Humans would treat Pokemon as gods or natural disasters and never form bonds with them due to how dangerous and overpowered they are (eg being shoot flamethrowers, cause earthquakes, etc). Humans would just hide from and avoid Pokemon where possible and a few governments would capture stronger ones like Gyarados to use in military operations against other humans (eg causing storms, destroying towns etc)
>>
Only the autists are trainers who battle with pokemon. Everyone else who has pokemon have them as pets, companions, helpers, research or for sex
>>
>>58904699
There are literally characters in Z-A who say that they don't even like Pokemon, and that most people don't grow up around Pokemon
>>
Honestly my main question is how the pokemon world seems so similar to ours that there is people struggling to make money.
Energy to keep things running is free
There's enough affluence that healthcare is free
Pokemon likely make food relatively cheap
Pokemon would make mining for building materials and then constructing buildings much easier to house people.
This is like Star Trek levels of advancements. People in the pokemon world should want for nothing and would likely just work in whatever job they want to for fun.

It seems to me the only real problems with the setting might be:
There's so much wealth that there is starting to be overcrowding, but with the pokemon world's higher compassion for nature, they may be less willing to expand into pokemon's natural habitats

Everyone completely relies on services which could become a problem should those become compromised. People have grown soft and wouldn't know how to handle it if the healthcare or power was shut down. A big one is everyone puts all the pokemon in PCs that can be hacked such as by Team Plasma. In the games you're constantly stopping tragedy from happening but if you failed just once, that might just be it for the pokemon society.
>>
>>58904802
Being so similar to the real world is exactly the point and the appeal.
>>
>>58904364
Granted the kids are accompanied by magic animals and can just walk in random people’s houses, with “villains” being as dangerous as a toddler with a toy hammer.

It’s like the entire world was lobotomized to create a safety net

Evil organization pissed at pokemon for taking our jobs NOW

>Yes, because the world is that much more suitable for that compared to ours.
Why though? Are there no Jeffery Epsteins, poop eaters or Ted Bundy?
>>
>>58904715
Most are doing Pokémon Battles just for fun or because they felt like it, that's just an occasional thing for them compared to the other stuff you correctly listed as more common for them. Except for:
>for sex
There's nothing in the franchise that indicates the franchise is in support of human X Pokémon.
>>
>>58904721

I will invite you to actually post sources and screenshots instead of screaming at random anons trying to gaslight them into something that you probably made up in your head.

Nta but those lines do exist, though with the first example it’s just one guy and the second seems to imply in the sense of having a pokemon as a pet of sorts
