>>58904607Wrong, some of the best campaigns Pokemon has had involve doubles. The GameCube games are fucking great. Gen 7 using them lopsidedly is solid as well, although having the Totem Pokemon have allies more regularly while giving the player a second Pokemon would increase the fun a lot. Hell, cutting a lot of the EXP creep and instead focusing on doubles as a format would dramatically increase the fun factor of the later games, but that is assuming a lot from Game Freak who can barely design interesting gimmicks these days (Terestal's interesting features feel like a mistake due to lack of balance, compared to bigmaxing just having zero balance to begin with)

Double battles are far better than singles, and it's a shame the games are stuck using mostly singles for their main gameplay experience.
