She's older than the character, more experienced, and more respected.It's not another kid who starts at the same time as you but somehow manages to beat you to every gym despite losing every fight he has with you. Instead she encourages your growth and raises new pokemon so she doesn't just beat your ass for nothing.The line later in the game about her getting winded faster than the rest of the group was interesting too. Despite the boundless energy she tires quickly.

They also mostly affect boys due to being X linked Other forms of have later onset and only end up wheel-chair bound in ther 30’s and aren’t X-linked. Nemona mostly fits the Distal kind if she had it.Though game freak probably don’t have any specific disorder in mind when giving Nemona her arm thing.
