Pocket, Unite, Sleep, Masters, etc we hardly had any info until the game was actually in our hands. The good news is Champions will be out soon and we'll most definitely get a release date on Pokemon Day. VGC is switching to Champions in April so the game is 100% coming out in the next 2 months.

GF knows it can't manage development on their own, but they're paranoid about letting outsiders work on the main series. Their other problem is retention, which is a big reason for Gear Project stuff like Beast of Reincarnation. The newly established "Pokemon Works" is basically their way of absorbing outside studios to train devs on Pokemon-specific skillsets.
