What are the best-to-worst Gen 1 pokemons across all gen 1 games? That includes Blue/Red and Firered/Leafgreen and Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu
>>58913752why are only 77 niggas up herethats barely half
>>58913766The rest arent important
>>58913768wheres my boy mewtwo
>>58913778I didnt want to include legendaries since they would all automatically be S-tier.Likewise I did not bother with anyone that wasnt full evolution. The only exception was Eevee since this one should be considered a pokemon of its own apart because the evolutions changes it dramatically.
>>58913752Best in what context? Competitively or in-game?Nidoking is an absolute beast in-game because of early game acquisition + early moon stone evolution + godlike special coverage + horn drill/x accuracy shenanigans, but he's garbage competitively because 85 speed isn't going to outspeed anything remotely fast, 75 special means its coverage will be underwhelming, even when super-effective, and poison/ground is a legitimately dreadful defensive type, being weak to psychic, ice, ground and water, while only being immune to electric without even resisting normal. On the other hand, Rhydon is pretty good completely because it single-handedly shuts down Zapdos, it has an absolutely massive 130 attack + stab earthquake, and it can switch in some resisted moves like hyper beam and explosion because it resists them. However, in-game, Rhydon is terrible because of late safari zone acquisition, it evolves at level 42, its level up moveset is absolute trash, making it overreliant on tms, there are no relevant electric trainers after the point you can get it, its special is bad, and it's very slow, so Lorelei will just fucking destroy you.
>>58913752>Dtrash taste
>>58914006I think OP meant best in a fight, because Beedrill is indeed a very good design
>>58913867I suppose my aim with the tier list was a bit of a mix between game progression utility and 'endgame' competition. Maybe I should have simply decided on one of the two.You seem fairly knowledgeable, anything you would have changed in the list that seems completely off the mark?
>>58914006No the tier list is not based on aesthetics. If that was the case then Jynx would be S
>>58914139>You seem fairly knowledgeable, anything you would have changed in the list that seems completely off the mark?Under any metric, Victreebel is S, or top A at the very least. You placed Venusaur in S, and Victreebel is just Venusaur but better, so it should also be S.Also, Aerodactyl and Pidgeot deserve the lowest tier in any metric. Both of them have three flying stab moves, two of them are 2-turn and one is base 35 power. Other than that, they only have normal moves as coverage (as well as fire blast for Aerodactyl but lol 60 special). They both absolutely suck, both in game and competitively. Aerodactyl later redeems itself in gen 3, but I'm assuming this tierlist is based in gen 1 performance.Other than that, you could argue for everything else being where you placed it, in my opinion.
>>58914163if this is based on gen 1 performance then what the hell is vileplume doing above victreebel, let alone not being way below both it and venusaur
>>58914344Vileplume in game is surprisingly good if only by virtue of getting swords dance + body slam + sleep powder + medium slow leveling up rate. Oddish is slow in the early game, but Vileplume shreds everything in the lategame with ease. 50 speed is not that terrible in game, especially with a badge boosting move. That said, Vileplume is awful competitively. Venusaur and especially Victreebel are so superior it's not even funny. I can see Vileplume hanging out in low-A/high-B tier if this was in-game, but yeah, I agree with you that, if it's competitive performance, it should be low-C at best.
>>58913787Leaving out NFE is fine but leaving out legends is just stupid, not all are S tier. Moltres only learns Leer.
>>58914374>>58914344Did a few changes
>>58913752>Mr. Mime in CGod this board is so retarded
