I think they should have had more sinnoh mons. The giant torterras were very weird once you get past the referencino and everything else was a statue or some other similar cameo

It handled the story better than the Detective Pikachu game. The main character was more likeable and one of those rare instances a race swap worked. Didn't play Detective Pikachu 2 so unsure if that gave the mystery a better conclusion than the movie did. I mean the conclusion was better than the non-conclusion the first game had, perhaps the sequel game fixed that.I would've wanted a sequel.
