Don't get me wrong, FRLG is pretty much the same but has expanded content that was gutted in Gen 3 due to time and Nintendo wishes (prop up GameCube, meaning intended expanded content was never released, to force sales of Colo/Gale) that could be re-added or used to add the game corner buymons that won't be included as buymons, due to them shutting the gambling aspect out to hit a 7's.I'll also add, this will clearly be an ILCA job, we know Game Freak's roadmap and it doesn't include any of this shit. Meaning less chance of them going off-reservation and adding gambling for shits and giggles.

Can't release before Gen 10, can't release before Gen 10 DLC, can't release 2028 (Gen 5 remake), can't release '29 (legends: galar) Gen 11 2030, so really doesn't seem like it's going to happen, because they're really not as fucked with kanto the region or the games that spawned it than they are the popular pokéon from Kanto that started it all and ensure casuals continue to buy, because they're continuously included and promoted.
