TPCI is about to out-jew nintendo
>>
>>58916176
The money they will make from this could probably fund the entire development of all gen 10 through gen 11 games btw
>>
>>58916176
How is getting to perma keep your game not better than a shitty online sub?
>>
>Standalone, not NSO
This would be a good thing.
>>
>>58916188
You aren't wrong but it depends on how much it costs. If the price is high then it's pure greed. It shouldn't be more than $10 max.
>>
More context
>>
You can play Kanto on Switch in full HD since 2018. Wheres Johto, Hoenn, Unova, Kalos, Alola??
>>
>>58916176
>>>>>khu
Knowing this raging faggot it’s probably gonna be a version exclusive with vulpix in wind and growlithe in wave
If it’s even anything. The fact that you still take Khu seriously shows that I’m posting in a board of retarded underage third-worlders.
>>
>>58916176
>khu
Where's the PKHeX feature in SV?
>>
>>58916188
Being on the shitty sub would require them to allow cloud saves which they absolutely don't want.
>>
>>58916176
I mean making them individual apps makes sense so it's easier for HOME to interface with them
>>
I GET TO BUY KANTO AGAIN?????????? YIIIPPPIIIEE
>>
>>58916176
No rewind for the lil zooms
>>
>>58916226
They aren't KANTOOOOOOOOOOO
>>
>>58916226
I assume this leaker only caught wind of one SKU or pair of SKUs. FRLG don't make sense on their own, but they make sense as part of a broader set of ports. Maybe they'll roll out monthly, like how they did monthly mythicals in 2016?
>>
I will not pay 10 dollars for a ROM of FRLG
>>
>>58916259
You'll pay $40 each.
>>
>>58916245
It's probably more the fact they'll have to considerably edit the games to remove the Game Corner or replace it with something that wouldn't get them hit with an adults only rating in Europe.
>>
>>58916264
Now that is a interesting point, would they replace it with minesweeper again?
>>
>>58916259
How about 9.99
>>
>>58916266
I doubt Game Freak has much staff even capable of programming a GBA anymore to the extent of porting over Voltorb Flip from HGSS. I imagine they'll take the most bare bones approach and just disable all the machines and make the rewards a cash shop.
>>
>>58916259
I believe if they were to sell it standalone, it'll be 30 dollars each because you know, 30th anniversary :). Nintendo did the same with Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 for the 40th anniversary
>>
>>58916176
Imagine if they just made a ROMhack of their own and released it instead?
>Pokemon OceanBlue
>Option to play as Red, Blue, or Leaf
>The two other characters are rivals and part of the story
>Physical Special split and Fairy type added
>Sevii Islands expanded with all gen 1 and 2 Pokémon obtainable
>>
>>58916270
ports aren't subject to the same ratings. Countless examples of this, including the Pokemon games on 3DS, but it's also true for any port of Doom. They don't have to hack the old roms for content. They choose to use a system-level mask to turn Jynx purple, but that's their own internal policy.
>>
>>58916276
Include the beta pokemon and I'll bite.
>>
>>58916191
It's bad because you still need NSO for online multiplayer.
>just pay for the standard
And then have to pay for my Mario Kart DLC? Never. $60 a year is nothing compared to paying most likely $80 for the standalone game.
>>
>>58916186
or another superbowl ad
>>
>>58916281
These aren't going to have online.
>>
Pokemon games being on NSO sucks anyways since they'll never have Home compatibility, and that's the main benefit of playing an old game on official hardware. But I do think it would need some proper updates like online functionality to be worth the high expected price.
>>
>>58916285
If it's stand alone then Home compatibility is pretty much a given. Home already has origin marks for Pokemon from Gen 1 and 2 but you can only currently see them for stuff transferred from Bank.
>>
>>58916284
That's even worse.
>>
>>58916176
Unless it has every single pokemon and modern QoL like mints and ability capsules why would anyone even buy this?
Why not just play on a GBA or emulate on your phone? Why would anyone pay money for something that they played a billion times already?
>>
>>58916242
Considered the save states and thought they can just disable those, but I didn't think about cloud saves. That's a good point anon.
>>
>>58916303
Makes you wonder how Colo/XD will handle saves. If we get FRLG shadow drop, and a Colo shadow drop, they would be insane not to make them compatible.

Maybe Colo/CD will save locally to system, and have save states disabled like 3DS VC. I'm fumigating myself with copium, I just really want to see them get the GB and GBA games working with N64 and GC. Get all the bells and whistles and shit in there. I'd rather have a way to 100% gen 1-3 on Switch than have every gen 1-7 game with all their missing features.
>>
Remember when playing online was free and offered more and better
>>
>>58916226
This would presumably be a first in a line of Switch ports.
>>
That's would be a smart desition for the anniversary. And if it has Pokemon bank compatibility would be cool
>>
>>58916308
TPC really doesn't give a toss about Colo/XD so it not being compatible with a hypothetical FLRG re-release or HOME isn't impossible.
>>
>>58916285
Most people don't care for them, but I was bummed out you couldn't transfer the gift pokemon from the Stadium games.
>>
>>58916285
Not gonna happen, at most they are going to make the Navel Rock and Birth Island events available to everyone once.
>>
>>58916316
The same was true for the Stadiums, but it's sale to assume we'll at least get Colo on Pokemon Day. If the FRLG leak is true and is also dropped (or at least announced) that day, then it would stop being your standard GF/TPC omission.
>>
>>58916327
They'd kinda have to if they were to add Home compatibility and keep up the Pokedex completion rewards thing they've been doing.
>>
>>58916264
Isn't the online app rated 18 anyway?
>>
>>58916441
I believe so, but it's more of TPC not wanting to have a fucking Pokemon game rated adults only in any region as it'd be free clickbait articles for people to shit about.
>>
>>58916176
the only reason I would buy these games is if they release the ho-oh/lugia and deoxys events so I can shiny hunt them like they did with crystal and celebi
>>
>>58916277
It's going to be a rebuild in an engine to run on Switch, but that guarantees the gambling corner being deleted like it was in LGPE.
It doesn't matter a fuck what you WANT the ratings to do, they're not going to risk tripping the ratings board by including the slots. And can easily bullshit up some way to get the game corner reward mons as sidequests or flat out new additions to the spawn pool (they include the sevii's, there's a HANDFUL of useless land they ganked content in Gen 3 for the CG games they can add them to as post-game catches). You should have realised when Mauville shut its gambling house and LGPE turned theirs into an arcade that Game Freak had adjusted to gambling content forcing ratings higher than "7 years old and up" and had stopped TRYING to add it to their children's game.
>>
>>58916441
No, it's E-T. N64 is the only system with a separate app for 18/17+ games. But as mentioned above, the game corner isn't a content issue for GB games.
>>
>>58916453
3DS VC had slots. Old games aren't subject to the same standards.
>>
They should redo the event so zoom zooms can know what ORAS was referencing with Deoxys
>>
>>58916176
If it’s just FRLG and not RSE too that’s really fucking lame.
>>
>>58916176
i thought it would be kind of dumb but kinda "quirky" if they did a dual version compilation, like one side had red gold ruby and diamond and the other had blue silver sapphire and pearl, granted, these'd be kinda shitty collections since they dont include the third versions (not that it really matters for rb or gs honestly tho), but if they properly made everything work down to more jank to emulate features like pal park or the gen 2 mystery gift it could be excusable to some extent. of course they wouldnt do this because "its giving you too good of a deal" in their eyes likely, if they did itd be like mario 3d all stars where its available for like 1 year, and probably cost 70 bucks too
>>
>>58916309
Remember when xbox kiddies paid to play online? When sony started charging, because xbox kiddies proved the theorem? I still play online for free, on PC where it's always been so (and laughed at the drones paying a stipend a month to then play a game they'd paid full-price title prices for) but actually bitching about NSO, where to JUST play online is $20 a year and family plans are a thing's a bit silly. I get the audacity of being asked to pay whatever the memeboxes currently charge (the fact I don't know should tell you I ignored memeboxes since at least PS3 days) but when I'm spending the guts of a full-price title on ciggies a week, paying even the $40 I do a year for NSO isn't anyway biting or bankrupting to me.
>>
>>58916461
3DS releases were before the EU started cracking down hard. There was a whole ordeal about it a year or so back where they tried to get Balatro categorized as adults only.
>>
>>58916472
well i mean of course they can include the third versions as dlc because theyd absolutely do that lol
>>
>>58916474
Platinum/HGSS change was 2009. VC Crystal was 2018.
>>
>>58916474
They started cracking down between DP and Platinum.
>>
>>58916176
If it has online PvP and trading like the Battle Network ports it might be cool

Otherwise this is completely worthless
>>
>>58916482
Anon that was 8 years ago. The EU has started to crack down more in the 8 years since then. Any gambling is now an automatic adults only rating in the EU.

Old games ARE subject to the same standards. it's just when VC versions of Gen 1 and 2 launched, the standards weren't as stringent. Rating was a 12's back in 2016, so they got sold marked at 12's. It's 18's now and there's NO fucking holy chance in hell of Game Freak, Nintendo OR TPC actually accepting an 18's rating, on a game in a series they ALL historically view as a child-facing franchise, just to please some wee sperg fucker too autistic to play a rom and jury-rig the transfers needed to slot her shit into Bank and Home. Easier to just cut out the problematic content and launch it, like they dumied out the glitches from Gen 1 in GS by shutting the safari zone and exploding Cinnabar.
>>
>>58916486
And Ninted no were marking Pokémnon as 122's back in 2016, to adhere to PEGI standards at the time. EU wrote laws formalising a higher rating, but at the same point, the discussions were going back then and Nintendo were holding themselves to them, even if the EU "weren't cracking down" (it wasn't that they weren't, the laws just didn't go as far as recognising the depths of the problems they could cause until recently).
>>
Are we buying?
>>
there are a disturbing number of normies who don’t know what emulation or flashcarts are
>>
>>58916489
The fact they were still so worried about the Safari Zone stuff that in RS it immediately makes you jump a ledge so you can't exit is still hilarious.
>>
>>58916259
>I will not pay 10 dollars for a ROM of FRLG

You wish it'd be $10
>>
>>58916536
Glitch city was a different beast to just plain missingno. Missingno tiles weren't coded with encounters so could just spawn the last encounter table you had met as well as old man catch glitch (game saved player name in last encounter table met memory as a hack to not delete it when going through catch tutorial, but when used as encounter data in a subsequent attempt at Cinnibar, pulled garbage resulting in missingno). Glitch city was something with a high chance of file corruption and something they just weren't able to kill without re-doing the entire base code probably, so just nuked it, then took steps to ensure it didn't happen again by accident or chance.
>>
isnt there a pc component that lets you transfer your game boys games to the pc and your save files?
why would i ever buy shit from this top tier slink eyed jew company?
>>
>>58916595
yes, it's called a nintendo DS

Why not the original Red/Blue/Yellow? Not complaining but one would think they'd do those first.

Why would I when I can play it for free on original hardware?

>>
>>58916176
why wold they ever do this when they can sell a shovelwares demake for 80 usd instead that pokefags will still buy anyway
>>
>>58916628
The original hardware is $200 and an everdrive is another $100. No one cares that you already got yours.
>>
>>58916176
Holy Fucking shit fuck this franchise
>>
>>58916707
Demakes need to be developed, this one is already done and it will most likely run in a emulator
The only extra effort they'll probably do is enable the events like they did with VC Crystal
>>
>>58916726
>demakes need to be developed
bdsp used dp code anon.
>>
>>58916737
It tried to use the DP code but fucked it up so hard they broke a basic calculator and made it impossible to send Spinda to or from Home.

Oof now that's a concession

You Khuck defenders are so predictable. Can't wait to see your next excuse when FRLG aren't on Switch in two weeks.
>>
I would be so happy for gen 3 (I wish also for gen 1 and 2). I think we won't get the DS games sadly, but that would be even better. Just the thought of beeing able to play gen5 or gen7 with solid 60fps would be fucking great.
>>
>>58916710
Just say you’re broke unc.
>>
>>58916781
nigger
also, your bait is subpar. do better.
>>58916830
alright, brown-non, i'll break it down super slow, just for you
having something that lets you control stats with sliders in a way similar to something like pkhex or showdown is very unprecedented compared to game freak's normal design philosophy. previously, even though they've been making things like EVs and IVs easier to tinker with over time, they've been very persistent about forcing it to be an in-game grind of some kind, be it for BP, in-game cash, or otherwise. making the correct assumption that they'd be switching gears in such a major way is already a big step
as to why it's in a different game than SV, think about it from a business perspective. While throwing it into a $35 usd DLC pack would have already made them a bunch of money, moving it to something live-service like Champions is going to make them infinitely more money since not only can it now serve as a central hub for all future competitive-related game activities, it'll also 100% get crammed with as many microtransactions as possible in the form of cosmetics (if i had to guess) that guarantees they'll basically be getting infinite money forever without having to do extra work.
>>
RSE, DPPt and HGSS soon brothers!!!

Unovafags will get a chibi ILCA remake instead

And Alolafags will get Legends 4 in 2032 or something
>>
>>58916914
Unova tags got a million gen 1 remakes
They're fine.
>>
Would be worth if it
>they actually fix the eReader content in these games for worldwide releases (both the Trainer House and the Trainer Tower, not just one)
>they make Altering Cave actually do something
>they release the locked events by post-game progression (there are exactly two milestones where two event items can be handed out)
>if they release these with the GameCube games, they give these direct connection support
>they ensure that the gold trainer card is obtainable since you need to complete the national dex, which is impossible between FireRed/LeafGreen alone
>bonus: just let me transfer out and into these games with HOME so I don't need to worry about the gaps that the Hoenn Pokemon cause for the national dex
>bonus: speedup like playing the GB games on Stadium 1 and 2
Anything less is objectively a worse experience than playing on cart, especially since a big chuck of the issues (eReader/Mystery Gift stuff) has been fixed with mods or is available to experience somewhere else.
>>
tpc is nintendo too
>>
>>58916176
Kanto wins every time. FRLG is about to sell another 20 million units.
>>
>>58916176
How credible is this person or are we just blindly trusting some random spic because we all want TPCi to rerelease these games?
>>
>>58917090
as credible as anyone else
>>
>>58917090
It's Khu. It's basically guaranteed he's making it up. That said it would make sense as a 30th anniversary release even if he was.
>>
ILCA developed btw
>>
>>58916264
Nintendo has edited Luigi's Mansion on NSO, so editing isn't out of the question even if it's just making you buy the coins.
>>
>>58917100
They'd still have to disable the machines, and change dialog of any NPC referencing gambling.
>>
>>58917096
If you want to talk budget game development, ILCA just has to make the FRLG world in 3D (HD2D?) and then make the game corner another clothing store then just ship it.
>>
>>58916264
Did people actually like grinding for coins on game corner? Shit was ass
