Is anyone else excited for the soundtrack to release? Nobody seems to be talking about it…
>>
>>58926815
The music is boring and repetitive in this game.
>>
>>58926815
The only parts of it I cared about are readily available on YouTube and it's not hard to find an mp3 file downloader
>>
the only songs you hear are lumiose day and the spy song at night
>>
No one ever talks about pokemon soundtracks. We listen to Iron Maiden and Testament here
>>
>>58926815
You can get all the music by turning off sound effects in game and on YouTube, who would pay for this shit?
>>
>>58926815
Yea I'm excited since one of the better gamerip ost channels got nuked recently, i just hope they include all variants of music for each district and don't mess up any dynamic tracks.
>>
No because it's dogshit like every post-Gen-7 OST.
>t. musician
>>
Pokémon music died the moment Masuda got booted out of the company. Despite him stepping down from music lead and "just" composing some songs, you can tell he still had the reign.

>>58927021
>>58927072
Um, the CD and soundtrack versions of tracks are always the highest quality and professionally mastered, why would you settle for compressed game rips or further compressed youtube uploads compared to full quality soundtrack versions?
>>
>>58927128
>Um
Go back
>>
>>58927081
Proof that he got booted?

Teraleaks
>>
>>58927177
So google is lying and he didnt make music for SV?
>>
>>58927193
The music sounds nothing like him. He's probably just credited because they reuse some pieces of his. But that's just speculation. Fact is he is no longer at Game Freak but some "manager" at The Pokémon Company.
>>
>>58927204
>fact is [HEADCANON]
Every time.
>>
>>58927213
he officially left in 2022 after BDSP. Not to mention that BDSP is a remix of a game Masuda composed the music for.
>>
>>58927225
Hhaahahaha you are actually retarded.
>>
>>58926815
Lol no

If you’re wondering, Masuda did make some new compositions for SV, Home, Cabo Poco, the generic wild battle theme, and the trainer theme for SV are all composed by Masuda
>>
Bumping because i’m very curious to see what the composer/arranger breakdown will finally say and how much of the soundtrack was outsourced to Supersweep (because everyone else was too busy working on gen 10)
>>
>>58926815
>40 variants of the Lumiose City theme
No wonder nobody is interested
>>
>>58927945
That's what I like the most about the soundtrack releases. It lets me know why the tracks are good or bad.
>>58927076
>every post-Gen-7 OST is dogshit
This.
>>
>>58926815
Why did they have to shove team MZ’s theme into the Mega Fug theme? It sounds so out of place.
>>
>>58926815
The only good songs in ZA are Insane in The Rain's remixes. One of Gamefreak composers has admitted to using AI to make his music for him and tried coming up with a billion excuses after his really stupid admission.
He's not even the only one, from what we saw in the Teraleak, Gamefreak has been using AI for a lot of shit, from renders, to procedural generation and very likely as well Pokemon designs, I mean come on, Mega Raichu looks like AI slop, there's no fucking way they didn't use AI to make it.
>>
I talked with a composer fag I know, and according to him swing rhythms like Jacinthe's theme, were one of the first things AI was trained to produce.
>>
>>58928111
>>58928118
If true, will this be disclosed in the SMC credits?
>>
>>58926815
Hosoe didn't answer the fucking question.
>>
>>58928155
You can look it up, there were quite a few pieces of coverage on it and it was even talked here on /vp/ a month back or so. Hosoe blatantly admitted to using AI, the images on my post are easily verifiable with a bit of research. And to answer your question, probably not, it would be a PR nightmare if they admitted one of their composers is an AI jeet(gook).
>>
>>58928111
You keep saying this, where did you see it? I know about the Hosoe thing of course.
>>
>>58928201
Anon, this is one of the first posts I've made on this site in weeks, I have mentioned the fact Gamefreak turned to AI niggery before, but that was it, I didn't make the other thread talking about this. Also for the source of the post, the drama started on Mond, which is a Jap site.

Pokémon has been filled with controversy and PR nightmares constantly since 2019, what's one more to the pile that could be the straw that breaks the normies' backs?
